I had a prescription called in on 12-30-2020 that I was looking to pick up from Nickman's I was…read morealso there on the 14th of January and no one told me I had 3 prescriptions because I knew they weren't due till the 19th so I didn't ask. I called them on the 19th at 10:33 am for 1 min and 49 sec and they confirmed they had my 3 prescriptions ready, so I go in today at 11am they say they don't have it so I drive away calling my doctor's office and they said they were at Nickman's. I drive back to Nickman's and ask why no one told me I had 3 even when I was in on the 14th at first Mr. George Hammond ignores me and I say "Yeah I know no one cares" which he then responds flamboyantly "well after 2 weeks of the prescription being called in they put them back on the shelf and add it to you're profile after the store closes". Then I say " so anytime I think I might have a prescription here even though it was called in the day before I'd HAVE to look at you and say oh it might be on my profile look it up please" and Mr. Hammond responded loudly and in an extremely cheerful way "SURE!!" Which I understood but he was super rude about it and called out every prescription I had loudly as he checks me out, this was extremely embarrassing because the store was full and he just yelled out my private health care information which is a violation of HIPPA. As he concludes checking me out he looks at me and says you might need to take one of you're chill pills, sarcastically insulting me because I have disabilities with anxiety and depression and I was visibly upset. Then he says "thank you for shopping at Nickman's here's a coupon for next time you shop" which confused me because I wasn't upset with him in fact when I was on my way out the door the first time, he asked me if I wanted him to look up my profile and I said no thanks because they saw I was calling my doctor's office to find out for sure. Also he never tried to give me a store coupon flyer in the past nor the customers before or after he checked me out. I felt he was trying to insult me about my wealth because I'm African American, I have public anxiety and emotional disabilities, I had government health insurance and they have also made me feel small when i would go in there just petty things to get me to switch pharmacy's for whatever personal agenda they had. So I slide back the coupon and ask to speak with the manager and as I did he jumps back and responds "ouch that hurt" in a horribly cringe girly like voice and I respond saying "it wasn't meant to hurt you" and laughed at how incredibly weird this human encounter turned out to be. And I asked him why he has to take this confrontation on as a personal attack he responded saying "well I'm sassy and I like to give it back when its thrown at me" and I was just shocked for the lack of consideration and kindness this employee had and didn't care about my privacy at all or just to give me a spread of respect! I'm only speculating but, I think while my doctor was calling Nickman's to get a better understanding, the staff assumed I would arrive upset and ready to fight because the first time I was there an older women with blonde hair, glasses, and a violet long sleeve shirt checked me out to find my prescriptions and couldn't. And the second time I arrived she's no where to be seen and Mr. Hammond comes to check me out. I also wonder if Mr. Hammond was upset with me in a away because the first time I was there he asked me if I wanted my profile looked up. I said no because I just assumed my doctor sent my prescription to a different pharmacy which happens because I have 2 at the moment. The manager finally comes out and tells me to write a letter to her "BOSS", well I wrote this mysterious "BOSS" the note and I have not yet receive a call. I would have submitted this on 1-22-2021 but this website was down just for the record.
