The service was horrible, when we walked in the two older ladies that were there just looked at us. We looked for the items we went there for and could not find the right size. Asked one of the ladies if there were any other sizes, she said whatever is there is all we have. Went to look at another product and asked if she could help find what we were looking for, and she said very sharply with an attitude if you don't see it , it's not there. One older lady rushed us as if we were just there for fun. Overpriced unwearable things. A customer came in to make a return, the clothes for girls can't be worn by general public I am not surprised it was returned if you are 40 pounds it may look tight on you., unrealistic ridiculous Women's fashions, poor selection. The younger lady was sweet and helpful, looked up discount for hubby's company on his $300. My husband and I were in Boot Barn in Durango to return boots that we were told we could exchange if they didn't work right after trying them, anytime. When drove 30 miles to get there and could not believe how rudely we are treated by the young red haired manager. We are not greeted at the store. Our exchange was not honored and it was a very unpleasant and unprofessional interaction. We are the calling the headquarters tomorrow to continue our complaint on the staff 8-11-2024 and the unwillingness to honor their word. read more

Covid...called to see if a wrangler jean was in stock so I could buy them over the phone to pick up. I was interrupted numerous times by the clerk who informed me there was an "entire ROOM full of wrangler jeans" (I am aware of this) and expressed further impatience asI tried to determine the style number. So Boot Barn, after attempting to buy from a local store, I ordered the jeans online directly from Wrangler. I'm doing the same with the Timberline Boots. Bye. read more

Poor customer service. I had to ask for help fitting a pair of boots. When help arrived, the employee wasn't friendly and acted like helping a customer was an inconvenience. As I checked out with my boots, the employee, Madison, I think, kept giving her coworker strange looks thinking I didn't notice. I needed the boots right away or I would've taken my business elsewhere. Sorry for supporting the business this time and there won't be a next visit to this business. read more

When you walk in it smells like leather :) This store is way bigger than I thought it was going to be! The employees are also really helpful and eager to help you find whatever you need. I was looking for some new cowboy boots with a nice heel that I could use for riding and there was a great selection. One of the employees let me know that usually you have to buy a boot that is 1 size smaller than usual which is totally true; I had to buy a 6.5 when I'm usually a 7-7.5. Restrooms are near the back but they are locked so you have to get the key from one of the employees. Dressing rooms are around the corner on the right side as you walk in. Aside from boots they have a nice selection of clothing, bags, and accessories. read more

This review is long overdue, but I finally found time to leave it. I needed a pair of work pants for the next day so I go in here, late on a Friday night, maybe half hour before they closed. There are 3 employees, myself, and one shady looking man who keeps going into the dressing room for abnormally long time periods. Hey employees!!!! THATS A RED LIGHT!!!! I am just trying to find a pair of work pants at the last minute (sorry I went to Boot Barn in durango). So it's 2 customers and 3 employees. I buy my over priced carhartts and head home. About an hour later, I'm enjoying a nice night at home with the family and there's a knock on my door (must have been around 9 or 10 PM) and there's 3 La Plata County sheriffs standing on my front porch. The cops proceed to tell me that someone at Boot Barn in Durango had just stolen over $700 in merch and that I was tagged as an accomplice by the idiot employees. They said I was seen talking to this guy, and that I was his distraction and I was the getaway vehicle. There are cameras everywhere in that place, but nobody has access to them, or they weren't working or whatever lie they made up to cover up their incompetence. About an hour later another 2 cops (Durango Police this time accompanied by a sheriff) shows up asking more questions (must have been 11 PM by this point). These idiot employees told the cops the biggest bunch of made up lies and stories it almost makes me think they were in on it; however they are so dumb and oblivious I don't think they could even pull that off. Next day I call to talk to the manager, of course she's at lunch. Several days later the manager finally called me back and made excuses and half assed apologies, no offer to make up for my troubles or anything. I took my pants back and returned them and I will never ever step foot in that place again. I went to buy a pair of pants and ended up humiliated with numerous cop cars outside my house, neighbors looking on like it was a murder scene for the next couple hours on a Friday night, at my own house, trying to get a good nights rest. What a mess that place is, I hope this awesome manager (I wish I remembered her name so I could out her) keeps hiring these all star employees and get robbed blind until they have to shut down. Other than that they have a great selection of overpriced clothes, boots and workwear all of which you can find on Amazon for cheaper. And without being accused of shoplifting. read more

I've been shopping in our local Boot Barn for years. From blue jeans, to shirts, to work wear. There always seems to be a lack of service at this location. It's typically staffed by very young folks and when you walk in there's just little attention to the customers. It's always been the case in the 10 years I've been in this town and yet I've just accepted it because it's the only such store in our town. However I recently (a week ago today) walked in to purchase a couple of pairs of Carhartt jeans to replace some worn ones. I walked in...tried on multiple pairs for and realized the style I wanted wasn't in stock. I walked around looking for help and finally approached a young gentleman to ask if they could order a style and size that was not in house or if he could look in the back, to which his very short reply was "yeah". I stood there waiting for him to follow me to the jeans, ask what I was inquiring about, etc. NOTHING. I said "can I show you what I'm looking for?" and he reluctantly followed me to the jeans, and grabbed a pair for the SKU then headed back to the register. Long story short I dealt with this young man as he was BS'n back and forth with the rest of the staff behind the counter...paid for my jeans...and had to ask when they'd be here. Turns out they were in our nearest town (Farmington New Mexico - 40 minutes away) and he said he thought they'd be there maybe that Saturday (19th) and they'd call me. I called this Tuesday (22nd) and spoke to the same kid. He couldn't find the order in the system, put me on hold several times, and then finally came back and stated "ummmm they aren't here yet and we'll call you when they get here". Called again (just now) and the gal who answered had about (if not less) the same enthusiasm and finally came back on and said "they shipped via UPS and could be here today so we'll call you when they get here". HORRIBLE SERVICE even when I've come to expect nothing but mediocre, AT BEST, service from this store. I went ahead and ordered two pairs..same style..size..etc...from Amazon on Tuesday and they just arrived on my desk. I'm sorry to ramble but the service at this store sucks! I work for one of the bigger companies in town and consensus is about on par with my comments. I was telling the story to a coworker and she said "we don't even bother anymore we just drive to Farmington or order online". It's sad in a town with VERY limited jobs that the management doesn't require, train, or encourage better service and behavior. There're a ton of good folks looking for work in a town with few opportunities. Most of the locals and longtime residents in this small town try and shop local and support our economy. With such crappy service it's a wonder this location is even open. I hope you'll address these issues and can see the simplicity in something so mundane as getting decent service and even basic follow through. read more

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday afternoon. The Manager....I wish I could remember her name...was terrific. She had nothing but time to take care of her customers. I would highly recommend Boot .barn in general and the Durango store in particular. Very helpful. read more
