The lady who served us was very kind, and the restaurant is unique and cozy. The lemonades we ordered took a very long time to be made. I waited nearly 20 mins for my drink. They had to brew another pot of flower tea to add to my lemonade. It must have been too hot because my drink ended up being lukewarm - all the ice had melted. Two others who got lemonade had ice in theirs that didn't melt. The lemonade was very bitter - like water mixed with straight lemon juice. I do not believe there was any kind of sweetener in it. I had three sips and ended up dumping it out a home. One of my daughters only got through half of hers and also dumped it. The other said the latte just tasted like tea. They also ordered the lemon bars, which tasted fine but had a very strange gummy texture to them. Two lemonades, two bars and one latte cost $26. Overly expensive, especially when the drinks ended up going down the drain. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

I've always wanted to try Refresh, but never had the opportunity to have it until today, when I was…read moremaking a stroll through Downtown Guelph. They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Definitely worth a try if you're roaming around downtown Guelph. A well-deserved 5/5 experience!

Pulp was welcoming from the moment I entered, as the owner correctly deduced I was a "visitor from the South" and encouraged me to choose whatever I wanted. All entrees are made right there while you wait - an extra bonus! The buddha bowl was a tasteful combination of veggies with tofu on the side. It served me well heading back over to the Shakespeare festival and then continuing on a meandering drive later that day.
