My boyfriend had flowers delivered for our anniversary. Upon arrival, I was so underwhelmed. When I showed him the flowers via FaceTime, he said, "I feel ripped off!" He said the arrangement looks nothing like the picture online. I really do not intend to sound so ungrateful; however, I've seen better arrangements at Wegmans (probably for a lot less). I ordered a bouquet from here for my wife for our anniversary. A little pricey but you can't be cheap on your anniversary can you?! Anyway, they proved to be a good purchase and a week later show no signs of being consigned to the compost heap. The shop itself is clearly a professional outfit, well run with pleasant staff. The flowers are very well presented, of high quality and cared for, which might explain the longevity of the bouquet. I can't say enough about how wonderful Bool's was to me. I ordered flowers a month ahead for Valentine's Day from ANOTHER FLORIST as I live 550 miles from my fiancée and I wanted to make sure that her day was as special as can be with the distance. It was 2/15 and the other florist had still not delivered her flowers. I called Bool's about 10 minutes before they closed, and honestly just chose them because they were the only local florist still open at the time. I'll admit, I had a tearful little meltdown explaining what had happened and asking if they could please get a dozen roses out next day. I was assured they could and they were even able to put in a quick special order with the supplier for cream roses with pink tips. I was not made to feel rushed even though I kept the associate right up to closing time. The price for a dozen was fair and they are beautiful. Just in case you're wondering, it's now 2/16 and the valentine flowers ordered 1/13 from the OTHER florist are still MIA. Thank you thank you thank you Bool's. She is in veterinary school for three more years and you will be my only florist for that time. read more

I stopped in to get a few loose flowers to place in Cascadilla Creek, where my Mom's ashes are. I didn't expect to find much available but was very pleased to find many stems of roses in different colors - in perfect condition! The clerk in the shop helped me and suggested some daisies. I had not thought of it, but Mom and I both love daisies. She said we could pop the flower heads and float them - it was just perfect. My Dad and I so appreciated her help and kindness. I see some of the reviews from folks who were disappointed with their arrangements. I saw people in the shop who really liked what they were doing, and cared about the quality of their product - even if they were about to be dropped in a creek. The hearts are in the right place! They came in wonderful shape, everything was stunning, and the price was lower than anyone else in town. They worked with us on a slightly odd color scheme--lots of green spider mums, green orchids, thistles...they were all PERFECT! Even threw in extras for us-- we would use them again in a heartbeat. Appalling costumer service. One of the employees gave me an incorrect price on a plant. When I returned hoping to make a purchase, finding the actual price to be much more, the "salesperson" spoke over me, interrupted me, and inferred that I was lying. These people were not truly interested in my business, which would have been easy to keep if they were only willing to admit to and be accountable for their mistakes. Christa from Bool's was an amazing ally in bringing our wedding vision to life. We had a R-O-Y-G-B-I-V wedding party, and the flowers added such class and "wow" factor the the entire occasion. The artful and unique bridesmaid's bouquets popped with natural color as Christa managed to find gorgeous flowers in each of the 7 colors that not only made a gorgeous arrangement, but did not clash at all with the dresses or the other bouquets. Each was tied with a lavish satin ribbon in a perfect shade to match the bridesmaid's dresses, which Christa selected skillfully just by a brief description. My bridal bouquet was an enormous and breathtaking collection of flowers found in the bridesmaid's bouquets. I could NOT keep my nose out of my bouquet all night, and it held up perfectly even after a full night of embraces and dancing. The arrangements for the ceremony and dining tables absolutely MADE the occasion, and the compliments about the flowers on our day keep rolling in! Christa really out-did herself creating fall-themed assortments of orange and white blooms with beautiful foliage and sweet accents like tiny orange peppers, arranged in hollowed-out pumpkins per my request. Without the amazing talent of Bool's, what turned out to be an elegant and stunning part of our wedding could have been simply campy or unmemorable. Every bride and groom should run to Bool's! (ithaca NY shop) The actual flower was nothing like what was shown on the photograph. Whatever you see on the photograph, assume you'll get only half the flowers. Also they somehow mis-typed a lot of what I wrote for the giftcard. For instance, they wrote "happy valentine's day!" as "happy vallentine's dayl" (with two L's and dayl instead of day!) ..seriously? I know I didn't make these mistakes myself because I have the order-confirmation email with my original message. WTF... read more

I called in and spoke to an employee who blatantly refused to give me my money back and offered a measly 10% off my next purchase. I wasn't willing to give up so I went into the store and spoke to who happened to be the owners OWN daughter who was extremely rude and uncooperative. TERRIBLE customer service. Go to wegmans.
