With my teen planning on becoming an astrophysicist, I wanted to look at books about space. Really look at them. Not take a gamble and buy from Amazon. The women who helped me knew so much about that section. She offered many helpful ideas. Did I spend a bit more than I would have on Amazon or B&N down the street? Perhaps. But I wouldn't have gotten that kind of help at B&N or any help at all had I purchased online. They had a great selection for an independent bookstore. Definitely a great place for some Christmas shopping

The books are affordable and there are some good finds here. Staff are also super friendly and interested in helping any time you need. I love this bookstore and definitely recommend stopping by for a visit if you're in the area!

The owners are super friendly. While not the largest, it was neatly organized with a strong focus on older albums at reasonable prices. I'm not a collector but I'm impressed and glad people are purchasing from their small business!

They did have book 4 of The Dream Harbor Series by Laurie Gilmore (The Strawberry Patch Pancake House), which was the next book I needed since I've read the first 3 of 6. I snagged that to enjoy during my downtime of the next week or two which will give me something to look forward to. Employees are helpful in guiding you where to find items and the store was well organized. While I typically prefer local vs national brands when it comes to bookstores, B.A.M. is still a solid option to grab a book when in a pinch.

Particularly today, I went in with my boyfriend and we went into treat ourselves after a long work week. We had bought a xbox 360 and the controller that came with it had insane stick drift I took a video of it to show to the workers when my boyfriend got there, so he called and they agreed to let him replace it with another one. Needless to say this one was no better! It had corrosion all in the battery pack I took a soft q-tip to clean it out and it still did not work! I was fed up and so was he! Mind you we live an hour away! We spent 3 hours going back and forth to this location several times! Disc replay prides themselves on testing and giving you working controllers but it seems to me that they have been lazy lately and needless to say WE WILL NEVER RETURN HERE! If you are looking to go to a video game store consider going to disc replay in Downers Grove, they are not affiliated with them and the staff and everyone are so helpful. I even brought the busted controller in to them and they offered to replace the battery pack at no cost!

Somehow I thought this store was long gone from Fox Valley, so it was a fun surprise to find it…read moreagain...and jammed with all kinds of fun stuff! Lots of Sailor Moon and other anime figurines, plushies and more, Pusheen, Sanrio (everything from Hello Kitty to Gudetama...but where is Aggretsuko!?), J-Pop, and so on. If you like cuteness of the Japanese variety this is a great place to start!
