It has a good selection of new, used and older books. They have a nice children and youth section as well. I found a J.D. Robb book that I had been looking for and just bought online that was more expensive than what was offered here. After talking to the nice gentleman (sorry I can't remember your name), he told me that they have a website that I can order online and pick it up at the store. Score!! I will definitely be back! Amy, the owner, is friendly and her enthusiasm is contagious. The staff was very friendly and, along with Amy, shared about the history of the building and the activities held at the bookshop. In one area of the bookshop there is local history research and archives available to the public. There is also an area for local authors. There are both used and new books, reasonably priced. Recently the bookshop had a Scottish chef/author from Pendleton's sister city in Scotland visit. The bookshop hosted a signing for his fourth cookbook. Patrons can sign up for a newsletter for the bookshop and/or additional information about the art area located upstairs in The Rafter Room (local artists-mostly a cool selection of pottery pieces along with paintings and other items). There is a back door that could be used as a wheelchair entrance. Don't think the second floor is accessible. This is a lovely addition to our historic Pendleton square...a combination of a local historic building and a unique bookshop.

I came in with my blinders on and a budget, but there's truly something for everyone. Pro tip: go close to opening! I arrived about 30-45 minutes after they opening, and the parking lot was already packed and lines inside were long. Patrons were super friendly though as you'd expect from fellow book lovers. I'd suggest bringing a big tote bag. People had carts, but they're hard to maneuver through the narrow aisles, especially in the busier sections. The entire warehouse isn't open for browsing. They have mountains of books and products stacked to the ceiling, so I'm sure each visit bring new finds and fresh stock. No direct thriller section this time, but I snagged a few great sci-fi, true crime, romance, and self-reflection picks I'm excited to dive into. And don't forget the classics! I can't wait to build a home library and come back for more. I spent a few hours browsing and standing in line, but everything being 70% off made it so worth it. So much bang for your buck! If you love book's you'll leave happy and maybe a little over budget!

We arrived about 30 minutes after the business opened. This was a visit that we pre-planned/research for. Our research led us to learn that the warehouse has no AC. Because of this heated detail, we decided to bring fans and water. Our choices led to our first visit being a bit more enjoyable. The amount of books at the warehouse was insane. We were at the warehouse for two hours to give some context. It was a bit overwhelming, but brought me so much joy. I was able to find series books by author Kimberly Lemming, a date night cookbook, a Lisa Jewell novel + so many more books. The selection was plentiful, although I do wish that the genres were all grouped together in a central location. Also, I think having direction signs for payment lines and directional travel through book aisles would be very helpful.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner's mother. She was absolutely lovely and I really enjoyed our conversation about the shop and family. The store is soooooo cute. It is well-stocked with an amazing selection. You can get everything from stickers to greeting cards to toys and puzzles (and so much more!!) here. I love that they have books for every age group (adults included). While your kiddo is picking out a cute Where's Waldo book, you can grab one of Emily Henry's fantastic books. Win-win for everyone. There is a bargain book section in the back left corner of the store that has really great deals on books too- so be sure to check that out. One thing I loved was that they had some medium post-its asking customers different questions. One asked for your favorite book, while the other asked what super power would you like to have. There were more and it was nice to have a fun little thought provoking thing while I waited for my sister to check out. We appreciate that they also sell some second-hand titles along with a variety of gifts and products made by local craftspeople, and there are comfy sports to sit down and read a bit. We can always find something we want when we stop in here. The staff is always happy to assist, and their location in the midst of downtown Brevard is convenient for most shoppers.

In order to buy the book at the sale price, I was told to go online, order the book and select "pick up in store". Otherwise, I would have to pay the full price, $8 more. I went along with the shenanigans, but obviously will never buy anything from Books-A-Million, in a million years. Worst of all the staff could not even understand how silly the whole process is. Crazy policies that place customer convenience at the bottom of considerations, lose customers. A classic example!
