Nice to have this breakfast option if you're staying at River & Twine. We went on a Sunday morning in May. They don't roast their own beans, but do use Counter Culture coffee, which is good. It is counter service. Order at the counter. Pick up your items at the counter. Our breakfast sandwiches were large. Husband had his with bacon. I got the turkey sausage one. Not a lot of flavor in the sausage. Overall the sandwich could have used some seasonings, maybe a little hot sauce. Even salt & pepper. Would also have preferred drinks to be served in real cups while dining in. Not many books around, but they did have the Owner's book for sale, which Husband was kind enough to buy for me. This is a great find in Rocky Mount, NC! It's like a cafe meets bookstore meets gallery space where you can spend your entire day. The space is very chill with eclectic music to just sip coffee and peruse the latest books. I had an egg sandwich and coffee, which were both pretty good. I am a fan of mom and pop shops before all. This place was like Starbucks and Panera having an illegitimate child. In a good way. The workers were very kind and not afraid to make conversation. The Orange tea was amazing and was a different take on teas with so many flavors. Even after taking 1000 pictures, my sandwiches were still hot. Top tier coffee shop. Counter culture coffee is used. I knew something was pulling me to this coffee shop. Before I walked in it was clearly marked on the front door. 100% profits go to the children of Palestine until Jan 1. That's pretty damn remarkable. Thank you for caring and sharing. The place was immaculate and so well put together in theme that included names on the menu. As a book lover and art student and lover of coffee I could have stayed there all day. They have books for purchase and to share as a library. This further puts Rocky Mount on the map for me. Cannot wait to go back. Oh, and they make their own real cocoa syrup for their mochas. The food and coffee is good, but it isn't family friendly. There are no high chairs nor changing stations. Pros: 1. Sandwiches are delicious 2. Salad was good. 3. Coffee was strong. 4. Service was friendly but limited. This is a self serve cafe. 5. Cafe is owned by author and has a good selection of books to buy and borrow. Cons: 1. Limited kid friendly options 2. No high chairs 3. No baby change that I saw 4. Not handicap accessible. 5. Stop serving breakfast at 12pm to conserve eggs. We were so excited to discover this jem. I love everything about this coffee shop. It has a clean all white and bright interior with a book decor. We had the egg and cheese with bacon on a brioche. Spectacular! The coffee was so goooood. We met the owner and she is a NY Times best selling author! She created the books and bean in her book and then made it come to life. Wow! I typically don't write reviews but I had to for this place: My friends and I stopped here during our roadtrip for some breakfast and the vibes were DIVINE. The prices were great, the food was baller, and the atmosphere was incredible welcoming and friendly. Our barista Faith and her coworker (didn't catch her name, wore glasses and a green shirt) were so sweet and great for conversation. Ok... this place is amazing. I came here as I was driving to Williamston, and I am so glad I did. I dont like my coffee drinks or lattes extremely sweet. It takes away from the espresso itself. We were staying at the River and Twine tiny house hotel and had a coupon to come here (we would have come anyway). It's in a separate building that was once the canteen of Rocky Mount Mills. They don't have a huge selection of drinks and breakfast items but what they had was delicious. My wife enjoyed her chai latte, I enjoyed my drip coffee, and we both enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. The space is very bright and open, with white-painted bricks. We were expecting more books actually, but hey, no real complaints. A nice place to pop into, with indoor and outdoor seating. read more

On a very hot day, passing thru RM, I decided to stop by, it was almost closing time. I needed an iced coffee.. they were out of large cups so I had to go with the regular size. I had the iced coffee with caramel syrup and oat milk. It was very good and could of definitely enjoyed a larger size. Counter Culture is brewed here which is a plus. I also got a slice of iced lemon pound cake to go.. it was delicious.. I love the decor, the books totally stand out..the subtle touches of florals though out the shop, a nice touch. I noticed a nice amount of seating, stools near the counter, booth seating along the wall, which is comfortable. There's also seating outdoors..
