Worked with this company for mine and my husband's taxes for a few years. This last year (filed in…read moreFebruary 2023), my husband attended school while I was the sole provider for our family. He had no paperwork that was filed for our taxes. I bought our home before we were married, and am sole owner of many of our assets (on paper). Even though there were no tax filings for my husband at all this year, he was still listed as the "taxpayer" and I was listed as the "spouse." My husband called and asked if that was standard, or if they just decided to put him as the taxpayer because he's male. The return call, from the associate who filed our taxes, had the associate saying things like "is this a joke?" and making commentary about their "traditional values" as to why my husband was listed as the taxpayer. Last I checked, the IRS doesn't care about gender, and this company had absolutely no problem sending the bill to me, and not my husband. If they had said "no, we just did that because that's how it was last year" or "it just defaulted to that, there was no purposeful reason for the male to be listed as the taxpayer" then I wouldn't have cared. However, their antiquated and frankly sexist response was uncalled for an unacceptable. We will not be using this company to file our taxes in the future.

Christine was always very easy going and fun to work with, but she doesn't play around when it comes to making sure all of your numbers line up in Quickbooks. She is very on top of every new development that makes reporting and number crunching faster and easier. We were a little worried when it came to selecting a Michigan Quickbooks advisor to work with, because we would generally cram all of our financial prep work in during the month of January. So we weren't sure how much help we really needed. Luckily we were blessed to have a business that generally stayed in the black, but Christine showed us that was a crutch that kept us from really understanding what was going on with our numbers. Once Christine came on board all of our reconciling and annual reports were done right at the end of the year. This year we successfully sold our business, and that was all thanks to Christine's help! Sometimes the reports automated from Quickbooks would come through to us blank but Christine was always happy to run the report by hand until I was happy with the results. She also would meet with us to explain things we didn't understand, or implement new ideas we had for reports. She won't stop until you're satisfied with the results you're getting!
