To my surprise, they hauled out several catalogues and explained how their pricing was far more competitive than Bravissimo, but that no one bothered to ask. Considering I pay an average of £30 for a Bravissimo bra, I think I'll be frequenting Foner's once more to save my pennies. This is not the first poor experience I have here, several years ago I order a corset to be made, I paid half the price as a deposit and was told it would take 2 weeks, 2 weeks later it was not ready and I got a lecture about them being handmade and taking a while and I was told in another 4 weeks it would be ready. 6 weeks after my initial order I was told it would take another 2 weeks, after 8 weeks after my initial order it still wasn't ready. The helpful assistant agreed the bras were quite loose and she/the manager agreed to start again with the fitting process (no mention made of me having to pay for another bra). A selection of bras were ordered for my daughter and a week later we returned for her to try them on. After choosing one I was then asked to pay £27. Feeling this wasn't right, I spoke to the manager who said because they hadn't been returned within a couple of weeks the best she could do was offer a 10% discount. I didn't think this was good customer service, especially as they had fitted them in the first place, and would mean me spending £50 on my daughter's bras within 5 months. Such a shame as I've been buying mine there (& when it was previously Vallerina) for over 20 years...
