The atmosphere is also so wonderful as you sit under lights and vines over hanging in the lovely dinning room. The service was also excellent. That had a staff member come out to speak with us in English to tell us what they offered on the menu. You can not get the pizza for lunch, only dinner but you will find the best pasta dishes and the freshest salads and meats. My husband raves about the salad he had here both times. My adult children also speak of the dinners we had here. I cleaned my plate every time we ate here. The prices are insanely reasonable and you will go back again!!

If i were to only order one single appetizer, it would be the eggplant (meat)balls. My only "complaint" is that they get really busy. We ordered some wine and they failed to bring it to us. It was no big deal--- maybe it was God's way of telling us we should drink less. Hehe. The food was awesome and we may even swing by here for lunch before our flight home.

I have no reason not to give it 5 stars -- it's nothing super fancy or special, but it was yummy and a pleasant experience! Bruschetta tipica and pasta alle vongole are recommended. A tartufo is essentially two favors of gelato formed into a ball with a chocolate lava center and coated with cocoa powder. Tartufo in Italian means "Truffle" so basically it's a truffle made of gelato. The hospitality here was amazing as well, the owner spoke English so I felt very comfortable and he was a very sweet gentleman who was very helpful. Definitely stop in if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed, very high quality gelato.

The food, one of us having shrimp and the other pasta each was a delight. I especially loved the briscatta (spelling is off I am sure) was especially good. Can't say I would go out of my way for a return visit but I also would no shy away.

Even if the food was not as good as it was, this is the place you need to have a romantic dinner outside on their patio. There are only about five tables, so I would make arrangements ahead of time. The patio stands above a series of very steep steps that lead down to the shore line below, probably at least 100 feet or more. It feels like a grotto and it is all stone buildings on the way down. Off in the distance is the church, Santa Maria dell' Isola sitting on top of a tall rocky cliff at the end of a peninsula that juts out from the beach. It is all lighted up at night and looks fantastic. Service was very good and the food was delicious. The desserts were scrumptious and the house wine was more than adequate.
