Cute little gelataria across from the church di Piedigrotta. I was dying to try a tartufo (which originated in Pizzo, Calabria) and it did not disappoint. A tartufo is essentially two favors of gelato formed into a ball with a chocolate lava center and coated with cocoa powder. Tartufo in Italian means "Truffle" so basically it's a truffle made of gelato. The hospitality here was amazing as well, the owner spoke English so I felt very comfortable and he was a very sweet gentleman who was very helpful. Definitely stop in if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed, very high quality gelato. read more
