Both were held in the garden and hugely enjoyed by all our guests. Every letter of thanks commented on the quality and interest of the food, which was beautifully presented, piping hot and utterly delicious. Martin cooked outside in the summer, bringing his own equipment, and indoors for the autumn event which was held outside under canvas. Using our kitchen seemed to be no problem to him and we were delighted that his team have the task of clearing up down to a fine art! Both occasions were relaxed and hassle-free as Martin and his team are supremely well-organised, full of good ideas and so easy to work with. We would thoroughly recommend Bread and Flowers, especially if you value professionalism with flair and fun AND tempting, delectable food.

Topline Catering - An excellent choice for all your catering needs

Topline Catering

My (now) husband and I used Topline Catering for our wedding at Folly Farm in Pensford back in…read moresummer 2013, and they were absolutely superb and utter heroes! We were pretty certain what we wanted to serve at our wedding from the start; A choice of 3 Pieminister pies for main A choice of 3 desserts And a large cheese wedding cake, with breads, pickles, fruits etc for the evening Sue was utterly fantastic right from the beginning, when she responded to our request quickly to tell us that everything we wanted was possible, and and supplied a very reasonable quotation - we were already so impressed we put down our deposit for the catering more than a year in advance. We were on a strict budget, and so had to buy a lot of the extras for guests ourselves (like nibbles, post ceremony drinks, table wine and bubbly), expecting that we would ask a family member to pop the wine on the table and let the guests serve themselves. However, Topline were able to offer us waiter service service for the drinks if we hired the drinks glasses through them, which saved us a fortune, and allowed us to serve our favourite drinks and wines. With about 6 months to go until the big day, Sue visited our house to run through the complete plan for the day - finalising our menu choices and how the drink are arrangements for the day would work - so we could send out 'menu options' with our guests invitations. However Sue made sure that we knew that we could make changes to the numbers and the menu up until a few weeks before the big day. On the day itself the Topline Team were absolutely superb, and worked together so well. Folly Farm is quite an unusual venue for a wedding, as it is very 'do it yourself' (one of the reasons we chose it) - and we were expecting to rely on the family to co-ordinate the various stages of the day. However, the Topline staff truly went above and beyond the service level of the 'catering team', and pretty much ran the whole day for us. The lovely young girls who served out post ceremony drinks (sloe gin and cloudy apple juice) out in the sunshine were plagued with wasps, and didn't complain, even though one of them was unfortunately stung - They were real troopers! The staff who served the meals were so organised, and made sure every guest had the right meal, even though the menu was complicated and had a lot of options. The ladies who served the bar throughout the day were so friendly, and really made the guests feel welcome. In fact, we had a lot of feedback from our guests telling us how friendly and welcoming all of the staff were - they took the time to talk to the guests and make them feel at home. And last but not least the lovely lady who stood in for Sue to manage the day was an absolute gem, and I'm really sorry that I can't remember her name. She found me the day before the wedding when I was putting up the decorations at the Farm to give me some reassurance that everything would run smoothly, and to let her know if I needed or wanted anything throughout the day. (And I didn't, it all ran perfectly - the only request made was to put some more of the cheese out on the evening buffet, as she had kindly removed some of it for is to take home!) We also used Topline to run the bar, which again was another triumph. Sue made sure she bought in the drinks that I had suggested the guests would most like, and offered them at a very reasonable price indeed. All in all, Topline were the perfect choice for our big day - and gave us everything we wanted and more. They did it all for a very reasonable price, and with first class service. Thank you so much.

From the very first time we met with them, they have been very professional, accommodating and helpful. They made every effort to cater to our requirement. We opted for a buffet service but wanted a mixture of hot and cold dishes so they made a perfectly customised menu for us. The quality, presentation and quantity of the food were just right to our liking and our guests loved them too. We even had enough to fill us up all throughout the night of the party. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The arrangement during the day of the wedding and for the rental of several things we needed went very smoothly. We didn't have to worry about a thing.. 5 stars to Topline Catering!! We highly recommend them and we wouldn't have second thoughts about using them again!!

Two Hungry Girls - from their website

Two Hungry Girls

Hampstead Village

Let me tell you something: these two girls are not only hungry, but also an enthusiastic, creative,…read morefun and especially well-organised bunch! I've now had the pleasure to benefit from their "services" twice and both times I was deeply impressed with what they created. First time around, I signed up for one of their supperclubs at their base in Hampstead. This was a fun affair and they catered to a hungry crowd of about 20 people: serving lychee cocktails in the garden and then a series of Chinese dishes...all of which I devoured lovingly, but none of which I remember the name of anymore. But I do remember, there being a really relaxed atmosphere and all the folks having a good time. What was really good, was that they had recruited some friends to help them with the serving and cooking and so both Shu and Leigh had time to chat with their guests once in a while. Having kept fond memories of the Two Hungry Girls, I then picked them when it came to finding a "different kind of caterer" for our office's Christmas party. In fact, I partnered up with the folks behind Edible Experiences and they in turn did they planning of the event along with Shu and Leigh. But anyway, what I wanted to say was: our Christmas party was a huge success! The Two Hungry Girls really outdid themselves and exceeded mine as well as my colleagues expectations. This is how our party invitation read: "Asia has long been a treasure chest of delicious food; especially that of street food markets where fresh produce is cooked on the spot and packed with flavour. Two Hungry Girls want to arrest your palate with vibrant Chinese and South East Asian Street Food favourites in a tropical and atmospheric setting. Learn to make a variety of fresh and cooked dishes which are typical of casual street food dining and about the ingredients that make them so tasty. At the end of the class you will enjoy the food you've handmade in a sharing-style meal with friends & colleagues before taking your recipe cards home." The hands-on menu on the evening itself was as follows: - Fresh Spring Rolls (Fragrant Chicken Strips & Fresh Vegetables wrapped in a Rice Noodle Sheet) - Rojak (Crunchy Pineapple, Cucumber, Radish Salad with a Spicy Caramelised Soy & Peanut Dressing) - Money Bags (Pork Dumplings wrapped to form little bundles and tied up with Chinese Chives) - Curry Puffs (Curried Root Vegetables encased in Flaky Pastry) My colleagues and I had a blast preparing all of these food items - I especially enjoyed preparing the money bags and tying them with chives. In fact, we prepared so much food, that on the next day, we still had so many leftovers that all us were still enjoying the salad and the curry puffs...and ideal hang-over food! All in all, I had two fantastic events with the Two Hungry Girls and I would really highly recommend to either attend of the supper clubs or maybe hire Shu & Leigh to do a slightly-different office party for you. Monicas Caterers

A friend of mine uses Monica's catering for their parties and has done so for many years…read more The parties have not just been great, but the food has also been really good, as a result they were first choice but when I had a party myself. They are good value, for food excluding drinks is £20 for £23 per person depending upon the options chosen. This is for them to come with the food delivery, a range of appetisers, mains and deserts, show how to warm up and other things like catering staff are also available if wanted. I also chose for them to supply cutlery which their sub contractor takes back dirty and washes themselves. When so many other catering companies rip off by inflating the prices for things that do not actually cost them anything, it is nice to deal with good honest people Monica's catering was helpful, reliable and eager to please. The food is as great as home cooked food, the salmon pastries were commented on by loads of the guests and the prawn appetisers were amazing. When by mistake I could not be home to accept the delivery from the cutlery suppliers and also for their collection. Monica's catering kindly allowed them to drop it off at their kitchen and they brought the cutlery with the food, likewise they collected the dirty cutlery with the empty food stuffs as well. I am very pleased that I was recommended Monica's caterering, will definitely do when I next have a party. They are the kind of people that invoke that good feeling, which means I have also recommended them to my friends as well
