I am deeply disappointed by the way my granddaughter was treated by this dance studio. Throughout…read morethe season, we were given information that ultimately proved to be untrue, and we were led to believe she would be included and treated fairly. Instead, she was excluded from the yearly summer recital and without honest communication or a satisfactory explanation. What makes this situation especially troubling is that the treatment she received appeared noticeably different from that of other students. As a family, we were left questioning whether bias played a role in the decisions that were made. While the studio may have its own explanation, the lack of transparency, fairness, and consistency raises serious concerns. Watching a child work hard, remain committed, and then be excluded was heartbreaking. No child should be made to feel less valued than their peers. Families deserve honesty, respect, and equal treatment, and unfortunately that was not our experience. I hope the studio takes a hard look at how it communicates with families and how it ensures that every child is treated fairly and inclusively. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this studio.

Kumu Liane is so patient and encouraging with kids. She teaches them different languages and about the culture as they learn basics in Hawaiian, Moari and Tahitian dance. The kids are captivated and always come home happy and singing. My 5 year old wants to go to hula every day.
