I did not realize Tamarama was considered the end of the exhibition but I felt it did not matter much which side you started from. The 2 km stretch of exhibits between Bondi and Taramara was over very quickly as you marveled at the sculptures. Set against the clear blue sea with frothing waves (at some parts) and beautiful blue sky dotted with some clouds, it was just quite breathtaking. Just take your time and bask in the beauty all around the place. No rush, no hurry and you will not feel like you are being hemmed in by the crowd. Some parts can be more packed but as long as you are not in a rush, people do give way or move on after a while. We went on a Friday afternoon so maybe it was not that crowded compared to the weekend.

This is a large public modern art exhibit along the water. The exhibit is completely free and it's filled with creative works. The only downside is that it is extremely crowded. But can you really blame the crowds for wanting to enjoy beautiful interactive art at such a magnificent setting?

You know this place. The 3-tiered grassy hill above the rocks, right in front of North Bondi Italian and the RSL. As soon as there's the barest sliver of sunshine people looking to get their writhing funzos on stream down and spread out towels, sarongs and picnics, bust out the eskies and the booze, light up durries and, yes, often joints, and live like people in those Corona "From Where You'd Rather Be" ads. You're pretty much guaranteed to see local celebs, from Channel V presenters to models to D-list look-at-me's. But here's the thing: nobody's looking. They're just chilling out and loving life. So posers, pose elsewhere. Best thing ever is to get there early arvo and leave after dusk. You'll have accomplished everything and nothing all at once. Make mine the party grass.

But you'd be very wrong. Escape the meat market sunning themselves in the paddock directly above the North Bondi paddling pool and make your way up the steps to the grassy knoll. There isn't much shade here either, but you are more likely to find a piece of grass to sun yourself on or a picnic shelter or even a pleasant little playground for the kiddliwinks. You also still get a wonderful view of the beach minus the roided Bondi boys, Brazilian beach bums and screaming children in front of ice cream vans. Take your picnic in peace like a true local and park your keister on the North Bondi Grassy Knoll.

From aerial shots to in the surf, photographer Eugene Tan reminds us that every-time you visit Bondi you will see something new and special Whats also great about Aquabumps is their Facebook page and daily updates. This is my "go to" online space when I'm feeling homesick. In fact i discovered the special images whilst holidaying in Paris. Tourists - this is a great place to buy a special art piece for a friend back home. Locals, this is a wonderful tribute to our iconic beach. Aquabumps, created by photographer and surfer Eugene Tan, started as a daily email sent to subscribers which captured images of mostly Bondi beach. As subscribers grew (40,000 or so at last check) so did the potential to grow Aquabumps. The Aquabumps gallery is a showcase of the most beautiful beach photography, mostly local but some international. Quintessential Bondi surf, surfers, sand and beachgoers are all beautifully captured and sold as art as the gallery. The small gallery doesn't do justice to the cult following Aquabumps has but the crowd inside on a Saturday or Sunday does. I picked up a stunning, simply framed picture of a 'Bondi Silk Wave' which I gave to a friend visiting from the US. Safe to say she loved it and it sure beats handing over Koala and a Wallaby's jersey!

Dim lights, tables very close to the stage, seating positioned in a way where you were next to your partner and also able to gaze at the stage. The show was really spectacular. There were 4 women of different sizes and looks, and 2 men. It was a series of skits poking fun at American culture (but as an American, I was off the floor laughing). The performers were sexy and engaging. Several times they jumped off the stage and engaged the audience. Each skit surprised and delighted us! There was a picnic scene with a temptress, a war brothel scene, a Vegas car wash, and many more! There seemed to be a plot for while, but it eventually went out the window (or at least, as far as my comprehension went)! The food was also "American" to fit with the theme of the show but to be honest, it was terrible. The fried chicken and waffle and apple pie were fitting choices but poorly executed. In 21st century I do not want to be eating 1940s American food. But would I go again? Absolutely. The show was just too good. The performers were so entertaining and fantastic dancers, and staged within an intimate setting. Seriously great place for a group of adults or a couple who want to see a very unique performance. Just make sure you eat before you go!
