I had such a great first experience at Bond Vet with my Russian Blue cat Ernie. The whole team was great! He gets very nervous going to the vet so we gave him his Gabapentin before but was still a bit hissy. I felt so confident with Dr. Karandikar and Nurse Yuli though because they were not stressed or phased at all! Ernie ended up needing a lot of work due to intense constipation but Dr. Karandikar made my husband and I feel so much better and answered our 100 questions. They also have a great relationship with the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital which was helpful. I thought all their prices were very fair and transparent. It was such a calming environment. We will def continue to work with Dr. Karandikar in the future!

Bond Vet in Forest Hills is absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in the door I knew we were in the right place. Soon as we walked in the door the receptionist said "Welcome Chewy" she knew who we were without even asking the normal routine questions. We came in because Chewy wasn't eating for two days and like the crazy first puppy parents we are we took him in and I'm glad we did. He also isn't sleeping at night. But they did a full check up on him, talked us through everything they were doing. They really made our nerves go away. Every single person we encountered there was amazing. You guys are doing a great job! We will be back for checkups and for all of Chewy's needs! Thank you! Gina John and Chewy!!

Instead, he was given pre-anesthetic medications and anesthesia for a SPAY procedure. Dr. Cohen later stated there had been a mix-up with another patient. When my mother picked him up, she was told by Dr. Cohen not to inform me of the incident (I have been in the field for ~15 years) and was discouraged from seeking care elsewhere. No post-procedure blood work or objective assessment was performed to ensure he was stable for discharge. We took him to a 24-hour emergency hospital, where he was found to be dehydrated, hypokalemic, and in acute kidney failure. He has since required multiple ER visits for vomiting, lethargy, and not eating, along with ongoing monitoring that has cost thousands of dollars. Dr. Cohen also stated he would not be taking action regarding the employee involved, citing that she had been "showing improvement," and added that she is pregnant. Regardless, verifying the correct patient prior to anesthesia is a fundamental responsibility of the veterinarian. If others have had similar experiences and are considering reporting concerns to the state veterinary licensing board, I encourage you to document everything and follow the appropriate formal complaint process. No pet or family should have to go through this.

I've seen some recent negative reviews about this clinic, and I feel compelled to speak up--because…read moreI have been going here for years, and the experience my pets and I have had is the complete opposite of what's being said. The doctor at this clinic is one of the most compassionate, dedicated professionals I've ever met. From day one, it's been clear that this isn't just a business--it's a place where animals are truly cared for, and where every decision is made with their wellbeing in mind. My pets have received nothing but gentle, thoughtful, and thorough care here, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with their health. It's upsetting to see negative comments from people who may not have even been here in person. If you're reading those and feeling unsure, I encourage you to visit the clinic yourself. Don't base your opinion on a single post or someone else's story without full context. It's easy to misjudge when you don't see the whole picture. Unfortunately, online platforms sometimes spread misinformation quickly, and not every review tells the full truth. What I can say, from direct and repeated experience, is that this clinic treats every pet like family, and their compassion is real. If you truly care about finding a vet who puts animals first, come see for yourself. I stand by this place 100%. A Truly Pawsitive Experience! I recently visited this pet clinic and was thoroughly impressed with the warm, welcoming environment and the attentive care both pets and their owners received. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this place is thoughtfully designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. The waiting area is clean, spacious, and pet-friendly, featuring cozy benches and a variety of pet products neatly organized on shelves. The soothing color scheme and natural wood flooring give it a homey feel, which instantly put both pets and their humans at ease. In the first image, you can see a family with their adorable Corgi interacting comfortably with staff and other clients -- a testament to how relaxed the atmosphere is here. Throughout our visit, it was clear that this clinic values a sense of community. The second and third images capture multiple pet owners calmly waiting with their dogs -- from a friendly Golden Retriever to a beautiful Australian Shepherd -- all coexisting peacefully. That's no accident; it speaks volumes about how well the staff manage the space and the flow of clients. One of the standout moments was seeing a staff member or vet lovingly attending to a large Rottweiler in the last image. This level of personal care and attention shows their commitment to treating every pet like family, regardless of size or breed. The pet was visibly relaxed, lying comfortably while being gently examined. Highlights: Excellent cleanliness and organization Spacious waiting area that accommodates multiple pets comfortably Calm, welcoming environment for pets and people alike Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff Well-stocked shelves with quality pet products Whether you're visiting for a routine checkup or a more specialized service, this clinic offers a supportive and professional environment that puts your pet's well-being first. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any pet owner looking for exceptional care and service!

My wife emailed on the Monday the 3rd asking for advice on whether to bring her in after noticing signs of discomfort. We followed up weds the 5th with a voicemail and nothing. No email response or phone call returned. We called Friday the 7th, and not sure who we spoke with but she was absolutely not helpful at all. She told us that dr. Ordas was on vacation and that we couldn't be accommodated by any other doctor there. This was gut wrenching for us, our Mia's health was declining and we didn't want to take her to other places that didn't know her medical history. Over the course of the weekend we ended up going to an emergency hospital and another clinic in manhattan. I gotta say that the difference between this clinic and Steinway was night and day. The front of house staff was amazing, and the doctor was so compassionate. Sadly we lost our beautiful Mia on Monday. For years we took our baby to Steinway thinking this place was great, and I assure you there are other places in nyc that will show you on day one the difference in front of house staff and quality of care. My regret is that I didn't notice the difference until it was too late.
