I had not wanted to spend much on the trip -- and, well, Blush on Main ended that fantasy pretty quickly. Blush on Main has racks and racks of beautiful women's clothes and accessories. If it weren't for being pregnant, I may have revelled in these racks a bit more. My sister-in-law, though, found a few items to try on here. What I really loved was Blush on Main's hat collection. I'm a sucker for a great hat (for proof, see my main Yelp profile pic). This shop had a few varieties that were particularly good for more regular wear, such as when outside at home, at farmers markets, on vacation, etc. I found a straw hat with a blue band that I had to have. It cost around $45, I believe, which was over my budget for the day (see the second paragraph above) but not so much to break the bank. I forked over my credit card, and I wore the hat the rest of the day. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law also got great hats. I knew of this Maurices because once upon a time, my older sister was a store manager here. I hadn't been here since my youth and this store has certainly kept up. Very clean and organized and it doesn't even look old. I was greeted with friendly and prompt service from I'm assuming the store manager, she asked if I was looking for anything particular. I went on to say I learned this store still existed and I learned there is one in Clarksville in Greentree mall. Even told her about my sister being the store manager here many years ago and she seemed intrigued. She goes on tell me their specials going on and their clearance as well. I check out some clearance items,only one item caught my eye and I got it. I also check the buy one get one half off their 24/7 collection and checked out buy one get one half off jeggings. I was even able to use a fitting room but was told whatever didn't fit or want, I was to leave everything in the dressing room. I liked everything so I basically bought 3 shirts (one on clearance) and 2 jeggings. I was offered to sign up for their store credit card but politely declined, I signed up for their rewards program though. The clothing was a tad pricey but did save some money with buy one get one half off. My items were neatly folded and put into a bag. I was told have a nice day and come back again, I do plan on it just not very soon, there is the Clarksville location I have yet to go to. It sits on the corner with a couple of other buildings and it's a very busy area and their signage was not clear to me so I passed it a couple of times before realizing exactly where it was. It wasn't immediately apparent that there was parking in the back either. Once we figured that out, it's all good from there. Magnolia & Fig provides a light and pleasant space to shop for clothing, accessories, and other knickknacks. We were greeted warmly by the attendant, and she gives us the option to browse or asked us if we were looking for something specific. Once we told her what my friend was looking for and her size, the attendant got right to work, pulling dresses for her to try from the racks. We were brought eight or 10 different dresses to try in a small but nicely decorated fitting area. The two employees worked together to bring us outfits to try, giving us space and time to try each one, but giving opinions and thoughts, when asked to. They were very kind patient and efficient. They were sensitive to the needs of my friend as related to her disability without talking down to her or making her feel out of place. It was a very positive experience and we found the perfect dress for my friend's event. In the store, you will find lots of ladies clothing options in addition to some jewelry, hats, shoes and even pretty things for the home. I think my friend paid about $150 for the gorgeous dress and the earrings that she purchased. But over in the corner are stairs that lead to the main shop which is larger than anticipated and pretty full without looking crowded. The booths are well-maintained and tidy.
