We used Elite to pick us up from PDX when we returned to the US from Mexico after six years outside…read morethe country. Everything we own packed was into seven suitcases, and so we needed help to get from the airport to our hotel in Salem. The choice was an Uber, which would not have worked for our situation, or a luxury car service. Hewar was wonderful from when I first called him to arrange our trip. He was attentive and patient, even when I called him multiple times with questions. The manager, Rasheem, met us at baggage claim. Our driver, Zhieco, was professional and friendly. He helped us get our (very heavy) luggage into the hotel. On the other hand, the company I called first did not give me a chance to explain why we needed help at baggage claim. As soon as he heard that, he immediately said he couldn't help me. He threatened to post my phone number online when I wrote him a one-star review. I was shocked. I would've taken it down, regardless, because I don't post bad reviews. So, I was especially glad to talk with Hewar on my second phone call. I highly recommend Elite. If I ever need a service like this again, I will for sure call Hewar.

The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. Phil at Aloha provided an exceptional level of customer care. He was responsive, friendly, accommodating and on time (early, actually). He went out of his way to ensure the "surprise" parts of the evening stayed secret, and was even kind enough to take a couple photos of my parents so they could text them to me and my husband. The car, a luxury SUV, was clean, well-cared for and comfortable. The pricing was very simple and transparent, with no extra fees or hidden charges - just a flat fee each way. The rate was reasonable, and actually less than the other car services I cold-called off the internet. If you're looking for a car service in the Portland area, this is the one. I highly recommend Aloha and would use them again without hesitation.

They provided water and while we were driving, our tour guide provided rich history of the valley and the land. We visited three excellent wineries and had different experiences at each of them. The first was a traditional and one of the oldest wineries, then we went to another winery that served white Pinot Noir, which was amazing, and we went to another modern winery with a really rich history as well, and it was by far the sleekest winery we visited. I love that they curated the tour to highlight different practices in organic and biodynamic farming. We learned a lot during our time together. We also had opportunities to venture off on our own, which served us well because we didn't want to feel forced to engage with people we were never going to see again. I highly recommend this tour company, especially if you want to learn about the terroir of the Willamette Valley.
