It was exceptional in every aspect . The food was the best I have had for a long time . We had shared tandoori starters . The kebabs were cooked to perfection and the onion Bhaji was not oily. The samosa was delicious . The lamb Bhuna and chicken tikka were just great dishes . Highly recommend to anyone with a discerning palette.

There's nothing more annoying than people wandering through while you're eating to pick up their order, letting a draft in and spoiling the ambiance of the restaurant. Well Shahi has it covered. Food-wise, the side dishes are all great...I particularly like the Bombay Aloo, the Sag Paneer and the Onion Bhajis- delicious! I can also recommend the Vegetable Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately they don't do deliveries, so you have to pick up in a neighborhood that isn't all that conducive to driving. They do cater for large parties and have a rather large eat in section. It is one of the best indian restaurants in Essex I have eaten at with efficient and friendly staff. The food is excellent with some interesting new dishes and plenty of traditional curries too.
