Truly one of the most welcoming studios I've ever been to as well - it's the fastest I've made new dance friends at a studio before and the staff is so nice. They film the end of every class which is great, and sometimes they'll even bring in professional videographers for certain classes or pop ups. I typically go to Jingle's jazz funk and heels classes but have branched out recently to Kpop and other instructors and have always had a good experience.

I signed up online via a link from their Instagram and the website was pretty user friendly and I was able to get registered for the class I wanted. No sweat. Looking for parking can be tough as it's street parking only, so I came a bit early to ensure I was able to get a spot. Walking in, the interior was pretty cozy and it was smaller compared to other studios I've been to in LA, but not a bad thing at all! The person working the front greeted me and I told her it was my first time so she gave me a rundown of how the studio works. I appreciate the great customer service! They have a full front mirror, cubbies to store your belongings, a clean bathroom, and an ipad up front to sign in. The class was comfortable since there were people of different dance levels so it's not intimidating. I also liked that it wasn't crowded. The classes usually last for 1 hour and 30 min. I would definitely take a class here again in the future.

Walking-in, the music was loudly playing and the interior had a party type of vibe. Thankfully there were ear plugs available for purchase. Checking-in was a bit difficult since it was hard for me to hear the receptionist due to the loud music. She was also wasn't the most friendly or welcoming which didn't make me feel great. I also needed to use the bathroom and her directions weren't very clear, so I had to ask her where to locate it a couple of times. I ended up using the bathroom at a nearby spa which I'm not sure if that's the bathroom she was referring to. There were lots of cubbies to store my stuff before taking the class which was nice. The age demographic of the participants was on the higher side, but everyone seemed so energetic. The instructor was also fun and lively. I liked her hip-hop style choreography which was full of energy and grooves. I was impressed that she was able to dance with so much energy for an hour straight. I overall enjoyed the music selection and choreography of the class. Overall, a decent experience here. Since it was my first time, I was able to get into this class for $15. Otherwise it would be $30 which I think is a bit pricey compared to regular dance classes in LA that go for 1 hour and 30 minutes for around $20. However, I do recognize this could be the standard for these types of classes. I wouldn't go out of my way to do this again, but would be possibly down if someone invited me. More of a preference, but I would feel more comfortable taking classes like these with people closer to my age demographic.

We started as beginners, but David immediately made us feel comfortable. He was incredibly encouraging, patient, positive, and genuinely invested in helping us. Rather than teaching a generic routine, he created a completely custom choreography for the song we chose and thoughtfully tailored every step to match our skill level. As we improved, he adapted the routine to challenge us while always making sure we felt confident and capable. One thing we especially appreciated was how much he cared about our progress. He regularly recorded videos of our lessons so we could watch ourselves improve, which was not only motivating but incredibly helpful for practicing between sessions. Seeing how far we had come over time was such a rewarding experience. We also attended David's group classes, and he brought the same incredible energy to every lesson. He's an outstanding teacher who creates a welcoming, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable learning, regardless of experience. One of the most thoughtful things he did was arrange for us to perform our routine during the Thursday night open dance, giving us the chance to practice dancing in front of a crowd before our wedding. That experience did wonders for our confidence and made performing our first dance on our wedding day feel so much more natural. David doesn't just teach dance--he builds confidence, celebrates your progress, and makes the entire experience genuinely fun. Thanks to him, our first dance became one of our favorite memories from our wedding day, and the journey of learning it was just as special. If you're looking for an instructor who is talented, creative, patient, and truly cares about his students, I cannot recommend David highly enough. Whether you're preparing for a wedding, learning salsa for the first time, or simply looking for an amazing instructor, you'll be in the very best hands.

A little over a year ago, I saw that WLAD offers adult tap classes (a rare find!), I thought I'd give it a go, and I'm so grateful for the community I've found here! While WLAD is traditionally a studio for kids, I love that they offer tap, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet exclusively for adults, and in a completely non-judgmental environment (Heavy on the non-judgmental - EVERYONE is welcome, even if you're a total novice!). If you're even considering trying it out, I highly encourage you to come tap with us. I've been coming to Kistina's weekly class for over a year now, and I'm so happy to have dance back in my life!

Either it's too focused on work out or too much on techniques, I want a class that is fun, energetic, brings me confidence and inspiration. One day my dream finally came true when I bumped into Andrea's class. YAY!!! As a newbie to her class, it's a bit challenge at the beginning. But don't get intimidated, I believe it's the same for everyone the first time. After the first class, it opens up your uncomfortableness and your courage keeps growing. I CAN DO IT! Sounds fascinated isn't it? The good thing is Andrea is a great observant and she will teaches you how to let go and just enjoy yourself. You will get better each time in the class. What I like the most about the class: #1 FUN!!! If you are one of those girls who can't stand treadmill and want a good workout, this is for you. Through the one hour nonstop dance session you won't know how much you sweat. You burn the calories as if you don't even notice. Because her class includes a combination of different dance styles, hip hop, Latin, Zumba, etc. and core exercises which allows you to exercise every parts of your muscles in different intensity. #2 Great music!!! First of all, her music is like magic, in one song it turns you into a super happy girl, the next turns you into a sexy lady. Also, I don't know if you have the same experience like me or not, when you hear the right music with the right beat, it alleviate your mood and make it feel like doing abs move/sit up so much easier. Andrea found these right type of music that suit every different moves you have. #3 Free the spirit. This class is quite powerful. Taking this class is like having a personal dialogue with yourself. Through each dance movements, I can feel it as who I am, learn how to move as women, and communicate with the inner self and be more confident, sexy and happy, feeling the women empowerment. After taking her class, I felt more confident and happier. Tips: LA dance fit offers free trial for her first class. So just let the front desk know it's your first time. Also, she's teaching at Your Neighborhood Studio every Thursday at 6pm. Survival rule: JUST LET GO & ENJOY YOURSELF! Alright. It's your turn to experience this class and let me know what you think.

Ms. Emily has the biggest heart and is a complete natural at interacting with children so young. At the beginning of the session, when my daughter had just turned 2, she had a lot of trouble focusing on her teacher and following instructions - which I learned is completely okay. Over time, her ability to focus improved and she would look forward to her ballet and tap class every weekend. Her favorite part was when Ms. Emily would give a sticker or glitter at the end of class. I loved watching how happy she was in class and how much she talked about it afterwards. Sadly, due to the COVID situation, the studio has been closed for the last two months and our routine has been disrupted. We're really hopeful that the situation improves in Los Angeles and we can find a way to have the class back in a safe way. We can't wait to be back! P.S. Funny story.. I was SO excited to put my (then) 2 year old in a mommy & me ballet class that I read the class instructions very carefully... the dress code was fairly specific (a certain color leotard, tights, ballet slippers etc). So I thought the moms were supposed to dress up just like their daughters. First class ever, I showed up in full leotard and tights to dance with my girl! After that, I realized the moms come in regular clothes so I was careful to dress appropriately from then on. Just a tip for other moms enrolling in the mommy & me class!
