We didn't realize that it would be so hard to find self-service laundromats in Italy, and our fancy hotel charged WAY too much money for laundry. SO I brought two big sacks of laundry, and Liliana did them by the next morning, as promised. She and her son don't speak much English, but you can probably manage to communicate, for example, by pointing to the washing-machine, rather than to the dry-cleaning items.

Despite her lack of English and our lack of Italian we managed to converse quite well. She made a boring job an enjoyable process
