The Harrison is the quintessential Gastropub- perfect for meeting friends who want a top-tier place…read morewithin walking distance of the LIRR. Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. From family gatherings and office parties to intimate date nights, The Harrison offers an ambiance and menu designed to satisfy both the casual diner and the most discerning palate.

It could have been shaved and rolled until soft. Otherwise, Max is the friendliest of bartenders and remembered our name. Our steak was rare and juicy, our Branzino cooked to perfection. This is fast becoming our go to place.

This is part of the trifecta that…read morebrought the grandma pizza to the masses, that being Umberto's, King Umberto's, and Da Angelo's. And with this visit, I have visited all three. With that out of the way, let's get to what I got at this pizzeria. Since I had just come from Dario's, I decided that one slice would be good to get a feel of what KU offers. First off, the ambiance and look of the pizzeria is my favorite of the trifecta and the customer service is fantastic. I got the white slice and on the whole, it was heated to perfection, had a wonderful balance of mozzarella, ricotta and basil. Anywho, the taste of the slice was fantastic and I think this outclasses Umberto's and Da Angelo's white pies by a long shot. The display case had a great selection of wonderfully made pizza and other items for takeout. If you come here, you need to try their grandma pie as that it's claim to fame (I wish I could have it, but damn gastritis! ) I met Giovanni, one of the owners and he was friendly and loves having conversations with his customers and hope to meet him again. This has easily become one of my top favorite pizzerias on Long Island and will make the trek again, this time with my family in tow. Cheers!

After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

He said it in a nasty and sarcastic tone the way my father would talk down at me, sometimes. Regardless, if paying for the seltzer was required, I would happily pay; but the fact that this guy was disrespectful about it was unwarranted. He reminds me of my dysfunctional parents when they get in their freaking moods. He also told me that there was a two-drink policy when there's a live band and also told me that if more people are coming to the bar, he would have me move. Basically, he was being unwelcoming and wanted to tell me (but couldn't since he was on the job) "fuck you asshole, you're not welcome at the bar". He didn't actually say that but those were the vibes I got from him. That kind of rude impression from him was just unwarranted. Now, I don't know what made me tip him $6. Maybe I wanted to be the better person in that situation since he was being a total asshole..and maybe I don't want him breathing down my neck about the service. He's a real jerkoff. Next time he does that with me again, I'm not going to be nice about it. He was lucky I kept my cool and chose to remain respectful instead of sink to his dysfunctional level that would remind me of my dysfunctional parents (not to mention, my entire dysfunctional family). So this one really stuck with me in the worst way possible because of bad experiences with my family (which would make more sense). That guy needs to be very careful with how he treats people. He will come across somebody who will be a lot nastier and impatient than him and he will get absolute karma for his rude behavior. He has a job. Therefore, he needs to show some professionalism (I don't mind informalities from employees, as long as they're being friendly people). The waiter I had, Marian H, was more professional and pleasant with me than Rich, the bartender, on May 16th, 2026.

In no time, me, my husband and son ran to this location. It's quite a distance from a place but it is better going on a sure place to get the test kit. The family has decided to do the testing day of our Christmas Eve dinner gathering. We went first to the pharmacy but informed that it is being sold in the register. There was a line but was moving fast. There is a limit of a box per person. Guessed mostly the people behind us is after for the same item. Glad that we all came in and each one received a box that has two swabs inside. The total number is enough for the entire household. The store is neat, huge and aisles has an identifier. The stocks are plenty and neatly stacked. The staff seemed pleasant. The store is in a commercial center and a large parking lot is a plus.

I'm definitely definitely not going to shop here anymore. I'll go a little bit down the Turnpike if I want to go to Walgreens, maybe I'll just switch to CVS.
