I am absolutely overwhelmed with appreciation and gratitude for the professionalism of Coleman…read moreElectric. From day one the communication between my wife and I and Coleman has been off the charts. We are sitting here on our love seat watching television thanks to the installation of our generac generator. We had a small Issue with our generator coming on during this latest wind caused outage, so I called Coleman Electric and had to leave a 4pm Sunday afternoon voicemail concerning our generator not coming on. No sooner had I ended my call and hung up when my phone rang and the Coleman Electric owner Greg Coleman called me back. Greg walked me through the 15 second process of firing the generator up and returning to my cocktail and the NCAA Basketball tournament. Only 5 stars! They deserve more!! Been looking for a residential generator for a couple of years…read more Talking to plumbers, electricians, and friends, COLEMAN ELECTRIC always came up. Yet, I wanted to get other estimates. Trying the "warehouse" companies either they didn't show up or their pricing was definitely on the high side. I finally came to my senses and arranged an estimate with COLEMAN ELECTRIC. The owner (Greg) came over within a couple of days. He was professional, informative, and friendly. He listened to my concerns and presented a plan and generator to power the entire house (GENERAC 24kw). The plans were better than expected. A couple weeks later the generator was installed, inspected, and up and running. ALL of COLEMAN ELECTRIC employees were knowledgeable and informative. I would ask questions throughout the installation which were completely answered. Since then we've had one power outage and the generator worked like a charm! *With my recommendation, I've had 2 neighbors install generators with COLEMAN ELECTRIC. Both were extremely pleased! *Will continue to highly recommend COLEMAN ELECTRIC to others.

We had an unusual problem with a circuit in our manufactured home and called Minden Electric because of a recommendation. Simon, one of the owners, came out first thing the next morning. He was unfamiliar with the wiring in a manufactured home but figured out the problem. He even went back to the office and returned with an employee who had to go under the home and together they fixed the problem. They were great. They mainly do commercial jobs but stuck with us until the job was done. Great people to work with. Highly recommended!

CUSTOMER BEWARE- Is it 'fair' or 'reasonable' to charge 1.5…read morehours of labor (at $75 an hourj) for a job that took 20 minutes? I don't think so. My renter needed an electrical outlet changed so he could use his dryer. According to him, the serviceman diagnosed the problem in five minutes, and upon his return took about 10 or 12 minutes to install the new 220 outlet- a total of 20 minutes. My wife, who phoned in the order, never was told that there iwas a one hour labor service charge of $75; in the bill they tacked on another half an hour. When I got the bill, I called FOUR times- it took a week before I finally got someone to pick up a phone, and to agree to a compromise: pay only the $75 service call plus the part. That seemed reasonable. However, he never communicated this to a rather rude woman who called me a week later. She continued to interrupt me as I explained how unhappy I was with their service. As a businessman myself, I believe one should make every effort to satisfy a customer. My solution: First, tell the customer what the service charge is prior to taking the job, and secondly, if the customer has a problem with your service, return his calls and deal constructively with the problem. I cannot think of a time when I have had worse service. Howard
