I had 3 spinal surgeries in 2015 and as a result I have very painful neuropathy in my hands. I am amazed at how well Neurofeedback is working for me. There are many days I am totally pain free! Ms. Levison is a wonderful therapist. I really like her and feel that she has helped me in many areas. She put me at ease the second I met her. I enjoy my sessions very much and hate the thought of them ending. I highly recommend Neurofeedback and Counseling Center to everyone. You would be surprised at the number of issues Neurofeedback can help with. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Jane Dornsife

Right off the bat, I felt very at ease with her as a therapist. We established my goals for seeking therapy and discussed strategies for treatment. She's very knowledgeable and took the time to really educate me on the various treatment options we could explore. Talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy helped me become better equipped to deal with my feelings of anxiety and talk myself down before they started to get the better of me. I feel stronger as a person now and more able to handle the curve balls that life throws my way. I'm really grateful for her help. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs help dealing with life's difficult issues.

This happened twice this way. The receptionist was knowledgeable and patient with me. She offered me 3 therapists. All 3 where smirking, which indicated n2rcissistic personality dis0rder tendencies. There were people on their website that looked lovely and had gorgeous, healthy, normal smiles. And then there were the ones that were available. lol. And from day one all the therapist wanted to discuss was him having Fibromyalgia although he had never received the actual diagnosis we only felt he might have it. So began this whole well you should do this for it and do that for it because it is what I do for mine. A) the therapist was playing doctor for a diagnosis he never received. B) she then would backtrack and say oh well not that I am saying you have it. C) ever appointment after that always comes back to his pain not his mental health in general. YES he has pain it is very real. YES we felt some might be mental health related but after alot of tests being done we no longer felt that. During this time he was also working with Dr. W and she was helping with mith medications and they were working well together to try and find the right combination that would work. After his last telehealth with his therapist he was just so done. He was sick and tired of it all going back to him being in pain all the time. He has real mental health issues that needed to be dealt with that had nothing to do with the pain and not once did she ever touch on any of it. So he requested to be discharged from the therapy side as it was not helping him but he wanted to continue with Dr. W for the med management. Well Pa counseling dumped him completely leaving with no treatment options and now no meds meaning he is going to end up going through some shit withdrawal because of it. I am just beyond disgusted at the way the just done him. I just saw all hope drain out of his face in an instant.

I met with Janice Newcomer for about 6 weeks. worst experience ever. I went for counseling…read morethrough EAP at work and started off with giving her my history and after about 6 weeks, she blatantly accused me of lying to her and not following thru on her suggestions (even though i showed her screenshots of everything i did on-line). she also blatantly told me that i was the reason my life was screwed up and i was depressed. my life is far from perfect and i had some trauma throughout my years, but i never felt more ashamed and depressed until after i had her. she also told me that i was too far gone and that she could not help me and wanted to commit me to a hospital. I went for a second opinion elsewhere and got the help i so needed and today i am in a better place. For anyone wanting to go here, go right past it. they are not work your mental health and money. i would not even send my enemies there. they are also more worried of getting their $$ than they are of their patients.

I feel like an idiot that I did not read the previous reviews before I went to this awful place…read more Money, money, money..... that is the ONLY thing that the therapist that I met with was interested in. Our first (and only, because I dropped her) session was all about how much money she would make seeing me and if it was possible for her to make more money by finding more people who were in my circumstance. She talked about how she was better off that I did not have insurance etc. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! IT IS A RIPOFF!

A Panic Attack and thoughts of suicide is what brought me here. Many people perceive Psychiatric Wards just as I did in the ambulance. You and I could not have been more wrong. Don't judge mental illness' for we all, at one time or another, have or had some form of it. I walked in PPI and immediately felt relief. Relief which I hadn't felt in the last eight months. Finally, I knew I had to be here. I was safe. Now, I recommend when you come to a place like this, whether it be voluntary or involuntary, that you open your mind completely. I was at my lowest point and knew that I had no other option; this was my last option before death--another chance if you will. Immediately, the staff made me feel at home and gave me all of the necessary details of the unit. I met the patients, too. Some were Schizophrenic, and most others like myself: plagued with Anxiety and Depression. My two-week stay here was absolutely wonderful. Remember, this is no vacation and you won't be staying at a hotel. The unit was decent overall: large rooms, nice bathrooms, spacious day area, and plenty of food of your choice. I gained ten pounds during my stay! The therapy sessions were extremely helpful and the group sessions may not always seem appealing, but you would be amazed at how well you truly connect to each activity. I really connected with several patients and we became a "Family"; helping and supporting one another during the hard times. We laughed and cried together, too (It really helped the adjusting process). Also, I can't say I didn't come out of here with some piano-playing and ping-pong skills!! My advice to you is: if you have any type of mental illness, do not underestimate it. Seek help as soon as possible. Do not be afraid because you are not alone in your battle. Note: No insurance? Don't worry. They've got you covered during your stay and your after care.
