Excellent customer service from Grace (specifically). From the moment we walked in until the time…read morewe left, she demonstrated the kind of hospitality that feels like a lost art. I call it the industry standard; attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have a great experience. When we stopped in for lunch, there was only one other diner in the restaurant, but don't let that fool you. If you're in the area, this spot is worth a visit. Chat & Choo offers an interesting American-Thai fusion menu that combines familiar comfort foods with unique twists. One surprise favorite for me was the spinach and mozzarella spring rolls. I didn't realize I needed those in my life, but they were absolutely delicious. Such simple ingredients, yet they worked perfectly together. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was very good. My friend went with the breakfast steak, eggs, and grits, along with a colossal-sized pancake. He couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed his meal. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Even if the food had been average, Grace's professionalism and warmth would have made the visit memorable. Too many restaurants overlook the importance of greeting guests properly, checking on them throughout their meal, and making them feel appreciated when they leave. Grace did all of those things effortlessly. I had never heard of Chat & Choo before this visit, but I'll definitely be returning with friends. Great service creates loyal customers, and that's exactly what happened here.

When my server came back several minutes later, she asked how my breakfast was. I pointed to the corned beef hash's burned side and mentioned they. No apology offered. She asked with indifference if I wanted them to remake them. I said yes. She said it'll be a bit. I told her never mind, I don't have time. She said ok and walked away. At the register I was asked if everything was good. I said no. I was asked what was wrong. I said the corned beef hash was overcooked and crusty. She asked if I told my server. I said yes. She then gave me the total due without even offering to remove the burnt food. This food was seen by the cook and server at a minimum and nobody cared from those two moments till I paid.

The food did not look appealing at all. I ordered a hamburger. The bun looked stale, and the cheese was not melted on the hamburger. The hamburger tasted dry. My friend ordered chicken dinner, which also looked although it was a humongous piece of chicken. It's not my cup of tea. She ran my card but seemed a little nervous. Added a tip and didn't even say thank you! This is not a place I would recommend due to the bland tasing food.
