But every time I come, their bartenders are just so rude. You feel like you are inconveniencing them for just ordering and being there. Sometimes you will stand at the register for a really long time before they even acknowledge you. They do have a couple that are nice but they never seem to last long. Freak Alley Gallery is literally an alley tucked between buildings in downtown Boise, filled with…read moregraffiti, murals, and while we were there, what appeared to be a makeshift dragon sculpture that an artist was displaying as a temporary installation. The alley is not necessarily something I would make the destination, but it's definitely a cool little spot to visit if you're already in the area. It's a free open air museum of curiosity. It's a very short walk, and the buildings provide quite a bit of shade, so you're not necessarily being hit by the sun the whole time. It's perfect for passing some time while waiting for something nearby, walking off a meal, or, in our case, killing some time before heading to an escape room. One of the things I found most interesting was the history. Near the beginning of the alley is a piece that documents many of the events and dates associated with Freak Alley over the years. It gives you a sense that this isn't just random graffiti--it's been an evolving space for artists to express themselves for years. There's still wall space available, so I imagine the gallery will continue changing as new murals and artwork are added. In that way, it feels a little like an outdoor museum that's never completely finished. Not necessarily a "go to Boise just for this" attraction, but definitely an interesting little detour and something worth walking through while you're downtown.

Bat Man and Marvel comics were his go to. So, coming to this joint only made sense. Yoooooo, this has to be one of the dopest comic book stores around! As soon as you walk in, everything catches your eye! You have Deadpool right at the door. You have beautiful display cases with the most realistic characters in them. Funko Pops nicely organized on shelves. Comic books neatly arranged in bins nicely labeled. It truly is a prestine store. We looked around for a bit. I was just in awww at how cool everything was. My husband was mainly doing the looking. He didn't really find anything that caught his eye. He has a pretty good collection but didn't find what he was specifically looking for. All good cause there's always next time! The gentleman that was working today was really nice! Even though he was mid conversation with another customer, he still greeted us!
