Went for a steroid injection in my lower back...BCBS cost estimator put it at $500 or less, but that only covered "professional services" - shame on Unity for not disclosing the amount of the "hospital services" at the time the appointment was scheduled. $2000 for a steroid injection is beyond insanity for 3 minutes of the doctor's time. I have a family member who works at a different pain management clinic, who informed me they charge $1000 for an injection if you have no insurance. So as we humans do, I assumed it can't be more than that if I have insurance - $2000 with insurance is disgusting. REFUSES to run the right tests basically stating she "isn't sure" and has to review the other test even though I told her that these things weren't tested for yet and that it is at the recommendation of the Phys.
