She scheduled me to return later that afternoon to get my cat in, no problem. The coolest thing about this place is the cats and dogs have separate clinic space, (cats downstairs and dogs have the upstairs) so there are no clashes between them which keeps the experience very mellow. I got my kitty in and Dr. Hunt was so personable, letting me watch the whole time, and he handled my injured cat with velvet gloves. Obviously he loves animals, and he provided so much helpful information, care tips, and options for treatment. Unlike a lot of vet's I have encountered, he actually listened to my concerns and valued my input, treating me like an intelligent responsible pet owner. I have nothing but high praise for the people here, top notch from A-Z. I'll be bringing my dogs in when they need shots, and if this level of service keeps up they will have a client for life!!! She got a terrible cut on her leg from a grooming accident that required staples and stitches. Dr. B fixed her leg right up. They didn't even charge me for the follow up visit as the staples had already fallen out. When I took one of my girls in for a teeth cleaning, they took great care of her. I for before an after pictures and no extractions were required. This vet clinic also accepts my pet discount card- petassure. Dr. B is an incredible, experienced, kind, and talented veterinarian. I recommend his practice to all the animal lovers I know!

The level of care here is exactly what you want for your fur baby. It's an adorable little space set in the middle of several horse yards. Lots of space to walk the dog around while you wait. My dog is a bit dog aggressive due to being attacked several times by off leash dogs ( had to throw that in there) and I usually will check in from the car and they come out and get us when it's our turn....who does that anymore? This morning I came in to get my dog a very quick and routine service. Melanie actually came out, sat on the grass and did the procedure under the tree out front. You don't find that kind of care and concern often. This place is a GEM for dog owners. They are smart, kind and compassionate. They deserve all the success in the world.

I lost my best friend and I had no idea where to start and they helped guide me through everything. When my dog passed they were closing and let me stay with her for a couple hours it felt like so little time but it was precious to me because it was my last good bye. They put her in the most beautiful box ever and even sent a card . It was the best experience ever just the worst timing. I wish I could have met the staff in the different scenario but I'm glad I met them because me and my fur babies will definitely be coming back.

I like that they have cat owners wait in their cars until the vet is ready (because we all know that cats are not the best around other species). This past week, one of my cats had an emergent gastric issue and I called in the morning in a panic - much to my surprise, I was scheduled in an hour! The staff was very sympathetic to my distraught concern and over-sharing, and the vet tech who took care of my poor chunky cat (it was luckily a fast fix) made sure to ease my guilt-wracked mind. And $42 later, I was as relived as my cat was when we left. I cannot recommend this veterinary hospital and clinic more - they are compassionate, understanding, and empathetic that pets are more than just pets. Thank you Littleton West Animal Clinic.

When I took my pets there, they had several employees but not a single man. I'm a female, but that also made me uncomfortable. 3. Their prices were low, just not enough of a savings to justify my discomfort with the place. 4. I get that some people rave about this establishment. And as far as I know their pet care is adequate if not good. But I felt more comfortable elsewhere. NOTE: Would recommend if price is your primary concern. They do go out of their way to ensure clients are not overspending on vaccinations.

Every single person we interacted with was fantastic at taking the time to clearly explain the costs and the necessity of each test and procedure so I could make informed decisions. The doctor, in particular, went above and beyond, stopping by our room three separate times -- between other appointments -- just to answer our questions and make sure we felt comfortable with the plan. An hour past their usual closing time, we finally left with one very loopy (and much lighter) kitty after resolving a severe constipation issue...and an immense sense of gratitude for the entire staff. You can truly feel how much they love animals here, and it makes all the difference.

She had a hard time coming out of the sedation and was lethargic from the time I picked her up. She was never the same. This dog meant the world to me.

Callie is an older dog and i am sure she would not have had such great outcomes without them. I am an ICU/flight nurse with an understanding of medicine and was extremely pleased with how they treated her. They also helped me bridge the gaps of knowledge between humans and dogs so I understood her treatment plan. I am so thankful I get to enjoy my old girl for hopefully many more years. After just landing at…read moreDenver airport, my dog accidentally caught his right rear paw pad on the end of the moving walkway (which will never happen again!). Blood gushing, rushing to get luggage & find urgent care nearby. Was traumatic since we are not familiar with this area for emergency dog services. Thank goodness for 24/7 availability, the wonderful Dr. Iris Schaitkin and her incredible staff went above and beyond to put me at ease and immediately analyze, x-ray, applies stitches, etc. All explained to me calmly and in detail. Fortunately mostly paw pad and skin - no broken bones or removed toes/digits. Discharged with antibiotics and painkiller. Receipts, summary pdfs emailed immediately. Followed up in two days to refresh bandages and double check in injury. Good results: Healing well! So grateful and blessed to have found CVSG & HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were with Nelson's for just shy of 12 years. Our dog had 2 knee surgeries there, multiple issues…read morewith thyroid and allergies and we were known personally by the front desk staff. Our dog's skin condition gradually got worse over the years. As time went on we had concerns about the care and guidance provided for our dog's skin condition, especially during his hot spot flare-ups. At times, it felt like the treatment approach from Nelson's was more of a short-term fix rather than a deeper effort to understand and address the root cause. There were years of flare up visits. At the beginning of May, our dog had a severe flare-up that required us to take him to an emergency vet. His condition was so bad that we were genuinely afraid we might lose him. The ER team was concerned about sepsis, and he had to be sedated so they could clean the wound and assess whether the skin on his belly was still viable. During that ER visit, we learned about canine dermatologists, and the ER team strongly recommended that our dog see one. This was frustrating for us because, despite having brought our dog to Nelson's multiple times, over years, for this same issue, we were never given that direction or made aware that canine dermatologists were an option. We did not even know they existed. In addition, our dog was put on antibiotics for six weeks to help treat the flare-up. In our previous visits with Nelson's, we were typically given a steroid and pain medication, but never an antibiotic like the one prescribed by the ER. Given how serious things became, we were disappointed that options such as antibiotics or seeing a veterinary dermatologist were not discussed with us sooner (or at all), by Nelson's specifically. We also felt that important information and possible next steps were not fully shared with us, which has made it difficult to feel confident continuing his care there. While Nelson's has a friendly atmosphere, your pet's care may only be a bandaid approach instead of actually digging deep to find the root cause and make tour pet comfortable. Our poor dog has been in pain for years. Additionally, I expressed all of this to Nelson's and told them why we were changing vets. After all these years, and business we gave them, I was extremely disappointed that they never replied back to my email or acknowledged losing a long term patient. I would not recommend Nelson's as your family's vet.
