So Abi showed up at my door with her massage table in hand. She was down to earth and made me feel immediately comfortable and at ease. She was very professional, set everything up, asked if I had any music I wanted to play...which felt a bit odd, but I assumed that as part of the experience. She left the room, giving me privacy to get on the massage table. And the massage started.... I am pretty critical when it comes to massage. I prefer deep tissue. It hurts so good! Swedish is annoying to me- unless in combination with deep tissue. Abi's massage surpassed my expectations! She found all the kinks and kneaded them out- aahhhhhhhh just thinking about it feels good. Pressure was perfect. Technique was an A+. I was feeling the glow for days after! The BEST part (besides the actual massage) was that afterwards I just kicked back and melted into the couch to relax the night away. No rush afterwards, no having to tense up by getting in a car and driving. Now I'm trying to figure out how to finance in-home massage on a regular basis...I might need to get another job...Abi is SO worth it! The whole process is such a TREAT. No rushing around to be on time. No traffic. No frantic prayers to the parking fairy. No waiting. A slew of bonuses on top of the fact that Abi gives phenomanal massages! My only hope is that her schedule doesn't get too full as other people start discovering her....this is my constant love-hate relationship with yelping.

It was very clear early on in the massage that she could 'feel' my body, understand my aches and pains and made my body feel oh so good. Like most people I'm certain, massages never last long enough but somehow I felt like I got a complete massage and there was nothing lacking in the outcome, I was refreshed and relaxed. She's worth the time and the cost, which happens to be rather modest considering the comfort of staying at home :)

In fact you can go through the parking lot and out the side/back and see the gym from that angle much better. I walked in and you have to walk through a gym area with no representatives to even get to the front desk. At the front desk there were 3-4 guys all in the middle of conversation and so being acknowledged took a bit longer than it should have. I felt like more of a burden then a welcomed new potential longtime client. I was instructed to fill out their waiver form, which is what I arrived early for with a pen ready. No pen required it's all electronic and they are set up pretty high so if you were on the shorter side you might have some problems. They do NOT have paper versions of this waiver. Also once you submit you do not get a copy of the waiver, even if you ask for one. I think that's pretty crappy in this day and age why would you not offer a copy of a legal document to the person completing it if they asked??? I was here from a GroupOn for a massage with Sonja. She greeted me while I was in the midst of my frustration with their waiver process... she stayed pleasant though! After all the paperwork was completed I properly introduced myself to Sonja and followed her to the massage room. It's private and locked.. has its own bathroom which is nice and clean. The table is a standard massage table - not electric - so it doesn't raise and lower for the comfort of the massage therapist or the client. There's music played through Sonja's iphone and it helps drown out some of the gym noise... but apparently there is a workout area directly above the massage room and they get pretty loud. Sonja is a wonderful massage therapist. Took the time to really ask questions and answer all given questions. She's very very welcoming and great at deep tissue massage! I would give Sonja a 4/5 but the experience in it's entirety and location and such drops this down to a 2/5. Unfortunately due to my experiences with the front desk, lack of legal documentation upon request, and the noise level.. I will not be returning. I wonder if Sonja has a private practice on the side and more reasonable pricing going through her directly!?!

Also, I had ONE same day cancellation for a Groupon session on 2/24/2017 due to extended work hours, not VARIOUS same day cancellations as she mentioned. I did not even get to use all my Groupon sessions. The $150 refund I was requesting was for a separate package I purchased. Carlita, I too enjoyed our conversations, but I do not appreciate dishonesty! Carlita seems to be a nice person but is disappointingly dishonest! I originally bought a Groupon from her and liked her service, so I purchased the special deal she was offering at the time. I paid her through PayPal, but then I was never able to FIND her to use my appointments. She gave different excuses and then finally agreed to issue me a refund of $150. She not only didn't issue any refunds, but also stopped replying altogether. It is shocking to me to see that someone who seems to be kind and caring in person will actually take advantage of customers like this! It's been almost a year, and I have never received service or refunds! Please be ware!! Also my last appointment with Carlita left my entire face burning in pain and I had red patches all over that lasted for hours. The things she put on my face caused major irritation, and my skin peeled terribly I truly wish I had never gone to Skincare by Carlita!

She encouraged communication throughout the session and was eager to know what I needed and wanted in the moment. Sara was very warm and made me comfortable. I also liked that she encouraged deep breathing during the massage. I found her to be very woman-centric, which created a safe, comfortable environment for me. Her focus is on Prenatal Massage and Postnatal Massage. Her rate is reasonable as well.
