Somewhere along the way, one pretty important part of customer service seems to have gotten lost: remembering that the customer, especially a longtime loyal customer, should occasionally come before the almighty dollar. So, let me take you on a little journey. I've been a member of Woodside for many years. I supported the club, enjoyed the club, recommended the club, and even lived at Woodside Village for several years. I wasn't someone who joined for three months, used a treadmill twice, and disappeared into the night. I was a loyal customer. In September, I let Woodside know that I was moving away and needed to cancel my membership. I was then informed that I would still be charged for another month, despite the small inconvenience of NO LONGER LIVING IN THE AREA OR BEING ABLE TO USE THE CLUB. OK. Interesting. So I reached out to Tarah. My email was kind. It was respectful. I explained my situation and simply asked if, after years of being a loyal member, Woodside might consider making an exception. The answer was no. But quite frankly, the "no" wasn't even the part that bothered me most. It was how I felt I was treated in the response. Tarah's email came across to me as condescending and dismissive, with an underlying "Who exactly do you think you're talking to?" attitude. And THAT is where Woodside lost me. Because here's the thing: you can tell a customer no without making them feel small. You can enforce a policy and still show kindness. You can explain a rule and still acknowledge that the person on the other end has supported your business for years. I didn't expect a parade. I didn't need a plaque by the pool. I wasn't asking them to name a treadmill after me. I simply expected a little grace and good customer service at the end of a relationship that had lasted for years. Instead, I walked away feeling like all those years of loyalty meant considerably less than collecting one final monthly payment from someone who doesn't even live there anymore. And yes, I'm sure there is a policy somewhere that says they can charge it. That's not the point. There is a tremendous difference between what a business is allowed to do and how a business chooses to treat people. Customer service isn't really tested when the answer is easy. It's tested when someone has an unusual circumstance and you have an opportunity to make them feel valued. Woodside had that opportunity. Unfortunately, in my experience, they chose the invoice. After all these years, I would have loved for my final impression of Woodside to have been about the beautiful club, the memories, and the years I spent there. Instead, I'm leaving with a completely different impression: Apparently loyalty has an expiration date. The billing cycle does not.

He isn't a bad dog, but his behavior became a big problem. We took him to see the vet who referred us to Kristyn at Beyond the Dog. Kristyn was able to quickly diagnose our dog's behavioral issues on her first visit and develop a treatment plan. We worked together for several months to improve his reactions and reduce his fears of these situations. While he has never fully overcome his fears, we have noticed a tremendous amount of improvement using the methods Kristyn taught us. Beyond the dog, Kristyn helped us to understand that the behavioral issues were not our fault, which was extremely reassuring. Before working with her, we felt like those parents... The ones whose child is out of control and everyone thinks how terrible the parents must be. We tried everything we could think of, but in the end it was Kristyn's creative approach that worked best. Beyond the Dog is expensive at $120 per visit, but it was well worth it to have Kristyn come to our house and work with our dog and us one-on-one. I don't think we'd have seen the improvements had we worked in a group setting. I would like to continue to work with Kristyn to maintain and build on what we have already learned.

Do not come to this place or any Blue Valley Physical Therapy locations unless you are looking for a disorganized and dishonest place to take all of your money ! They lie about billing and bill incorrectly! Ever since they got bought out by Kansas City Orthopedic Institute this company has gone downhill in terms of their ethics. We received a bill on 11/30/21 in the mail for $970.76, well then I called and they had no idea what was going on and said would call me back, but I never got a call back. We were told that we only had to pay $6.50 at every visit, which we paid and they had verified benefits with insurance on 11/16/21, but then my insurance tells me they never called to verify benefits and now the second incorrect bill i'm getting is for $161.18 on 1/6/22 because they have no record that we paid $6.50 at every visit on 11/16/21, 11/22/21, 11/29/21, 12/7/21, 12/9/21, except for on 11/22/21, which they showed we paid $6.50. Luckily, I paid with my credit card, so I have records, but obviously they have no idea.I used to come to this place, referred my parents, spouse and everyone, but now I tell them don't come here. The physical therapist are good, but even when they reached out to find out why we didn't come back and I told them what had happened, there was no follow-up or anything from them. Overall, the worst physical therapy in all of Kansas and Missouri. The only reason, we were able to make sure we didn't get robbed was because I work in healthcare. Just unbelievable and there is no communication from management or anyone to resolve this issue. I am writing this review because I don't want you or anyone you love to be taken advantage of in our health care system by this company. Hopefully, now that I have written this review somebody from management will pay attention and get this corrected ASAP. Update just spoke with billing manager because we got another incorrect bill for $120, the person didn't know at first why we got this bill, and was telling me it was the total of all visits, but the total did not equal that amount, then she figured it out and said it was for the first claim that had been voided by them and it could be disregarded and she would correct it, but now this is the 3rd incorrect bill. If I had not called, they would still have in their system that we owe this amount, but that is incorrect. So, now I have to take my billing statement from my credit card and receipts to show that I paid the $6.50. That person would also not transfer me to their manager and hung upon us. Karen even has an unending offering of tips and tricks to wear your pup out, redirect its attention, etc., even how to teach your furry friend how to disentangle itself from its leash - she taught Magnus in less than five minutes, which was pretty incredible!
