I also love the online scheduling, payment, and the huge variety of classes offered. Can I also just point out how few studios in the area offer Saturday classes or evening classes? Folks have to work, you know! Luckily, Alternative Fitness Pilates has that covered. The prices are very fair, if not less expensive, in comparison to other studios in the area. Right now, they have a special with 50% off the first class for new members. The staff and the other people who go here are super friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that truly all ages/level of fitness are welcomed with appropriate modifications added.

I love and adore this place, the people that teach here and the people that go here. Myself I've always been active in one way or another in my life (background in dance, kickboxing, biking, blading, Zumba instructor, etc.) so I am quite picky when it comes to getting a workout of any kind. I want to be satisfied mind and body. My hubby was the one that found this little place. I thank him every week for finding it and for the packages he gets. I feel like I belong there. Melissa is just about the greatest owner/teacher I could have ever met. They have so many classes to choose from! They offer so many different mat classes & apparatus classes (Pilates machines). Personally haven't tried the apparatus ones yet, maybe later this year. I also enjoy that you have to sign up online to purchase classes and to sign up for them. Only a certain number of people per class so they don't let them get out of control with people due to the space. THANK YOU!!!! This is my place. It keeps me feeling good (even if I wake up & don't feel like going. I feel like a million bucks the rest of the day) and I always look forward to the next class.

I have seen noticeable improvement in running times, muscle definition, and strength. He has an amazing knowledge of muscle function and dynamic movement. Somehow, he can make the simplest exercises so effective. He gives appropriate ques for safety and I never have to worry if what I am doing will lead to further injury. He is kind, patient, and SUPER passionate about what he does. Prices are extremely reasonable and he is flexible with his schedule. He can easily work around injury (currently, I am in a sling from shoulder surgery and I still get a good workout) and can modify exercises quickly. The facility overall is very nice. Spacious and super clean. Everyone is very welcoming. Changing rooms and showers are available. Taylor offers other classes as well like yoga and group fitness. Mike also does a specialized mobility class too. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike and the group at Function Fit if you are looking to loose weight, get fit, or improve performance. They will take great care of you!

Wow what an intense workout! Came here yesterday for the Yelp Fit Club event. This location opened…read morethis summer and it is located in the Stonecrest shopping center near Dulce Lusso. The space is nicely done and the classes are smaller (I think around 12 people) which I really like because the instructor is able to help you make adjustments if your technique is off. You do need to sign up online for classes since the class size is smaller and they need to guarantee a place for you. They offer a new client 3 pack special for a discounted rate. Our instructor was Arthur and he was great! Very encouraging and he made you want to keep going even though your body was telling you to stop ha. The classes are 40 minutes and done on the Megaformer - it's a machine that helps keep your core engaged at all times and takes pressure off of joints. If you've ever done core exercises with gliders at the gym it's like that on steroids. Seriously one of the most difficult classes that I have ever taken. I do weights 5-6 days per week but I don't do a lot of fatiguing my muscles. The exercises are all slowed down so you really get that muscle fatigue. Great workout, great instructor, great location!

I already having trouble saying "no" to BP's from across the city. haha. I had my first class with Kate, and the other member that signed up cancelled, so it was like a little private session! The studio is clean and organized. There isn't a shower, but there is a restroom and changing room for freshening up. There's a HUGE window on the one side of the studio, at first I thought that people could see in - while I looked like a clumsy maniac on the machines, but you can't really see in from the road, don't fret. Let's talk about these machines. They are called mega-formers, and they're ridiculous. Every bit of my being shakes just looking at these things (it's the same type of machine used at HSM Core). The workout is 50 mins of sweat dripping, core focused, maddness. I loved it. Some of the transitions are fast, but do able, and you can really go at your own pace. I wish all the luck in the world to this studio! I won a month free on Instagram, so I'll definitely be back and they have all of these incentive programs too - who doesn't like a strong core and a discount!?! I'll post pictures soon!

I was trying something new and didn't really expect to love it as much as I do. 10 separate saunas with different workouts like yoga, pilates, barre, cycle, rowing, etc. The workouts are led by virtual instructors-again, wasn't sure if I would like that but it works for me. The instructors are personable, knowledgeable and fun. They do rotate the instructors and workouts so it's not the same all the time. You book workouts through the app which makes it convenient and also adds the accountability factor. If you get bored easily and like to switch things up, I definitely recommend Hotworx. Sweating and detoxing while working out has been a game changer for me. Super nice staff and clean facility!
