Working out has been a part of my weekly routine since I was in my 20s, and I've done a few types of routines, including high intensity kickboxing, interval training, and yoga. When I injured my shoulder after two years of kickboxing, I knew I had to make a change. Exercise Coach's format is surprisingly effective. You really don't have to sweat buckets to achieve your goals! Strength training has helped me tremendously, and I've seen a dramatic change in my body as a result. When I started at Exercise Coach in Sept 2020, I wanted to lose weight. With a change in my diet (i.e., eating better, and most importantly, eating smaller portions)--combined with strength training at Exercise Coach--I dropped 45 pounds in 10 months, and have kept it off after all this time. The environment is also fun, with clients chatting together during the workout. It makes the 20 minutes go by very quickly! They are a bit expensive (especially compared to the Rec Center), but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Walking in I didn't know what to expect but was immediately greeted by the guest services guy and another trainer. I'm sure they could tell I was new because I was late, I got lost and went to the old location on Park Road. Either way, they welcomed me to the 4:30 cycle class and immediately provided me with shoes. The front entrance was cute and small, I presumed the entire facility was small until I walked down the ramp. To my surprise, they have a huge workout area, bathrooms, and showers as well as another room that provided weights and the cycling room. This workout facility is in the perfect location of the quickly growing southend.

Enter Fitness Together. I appreciate the private workout stalls so much so no one can see each other and that I can workout truly in an individual setting. The coaches tailor each workout to my level keeping in mind any injuries (I have a weak psoas on one side) so they adapt the workout specifically for me. Everyone has been super friendly and the nutrition coaching even is adapting to my weird dietary stuff (I bet they hate working around GF, DF and low FODMAP). I really appreciate my time there and look forward to it every week which has decreased my stress level! The accountability is key to get me there- the online programs with Daily Burn and Peloton just don't cut it when I'm stressed and busy so I have to have it on the calendar so I don't flake on someone. :)

The one on one care you receive at FT is just one of the things I love about them. The trainers I've worked with are all knowledgeable and change each workout so that it doesn't get boring. They also know when yo push or back off which I appreciate. The owners - Sarah and Scott - have been great at getting me scheduled and being flexible when life happens. I have been Instagram stalking them for a while now and finally had an opportunity to quit creepin and actually participate. No matter how many times you go to a gym or to a new place, you always feel like everyone stares at you when you first walk in. Well, maybe they are but each coach made a point come over and introduce themselves. I got a brief rundown of the facility and I was putting my bag away/getting water, more and more kept introducing themselves. Whether this is a one-off, or just the culture of 926, I was ridiculously impressed and immediately made to feel "at home." The workout I attended was a free community workout and it did not disappoint. Greatly programming but then also greatly coaching. I rarely do any overhead lifting. The coaches noticed some form issues and took time to coach me through without interfering with the overall workout. My... Absolute... Favorite... Kind... Of... Coaching. Because let's be honest, we are all competitive and who really wants to stop working out to talk? Even if you really should... Although, I am pretty positive they would have made me if I were doing something a little too crazy. The facility is AMAZING. Large, spacious, clean... AND IT SMELLS SO GOOD. Growing up and working in gymnastics facilities my entire life, I expect to smell feet, chalk and sweat in any workout facility I go into. Not here. I just wanted to lay on the ground and make turf-angels on the floor but I just met these people and couldn't show my crazy just yet. Get in on this ASAP as everything is new, bright and shiny. But really, it was the people that made it awesome. The location is spot-on too. Conveniently located off 73, but once you are inside "the gates" you almost feel like you are secluded and sectioned off from the rest of the world. Kind of ideal when you are trying to get into a certain "zone" to push yourself in your workout. I will definitely be adding CrossFit 926 to my circle of facilities to workout at.

Workout Anytime (Dallas, NC)…read more I would NOT recommend Workout Anytime in Dallas, NC, based on my family's experience. My son was charged unauthorized fees of $37.00 and $67.49. We immediately disputed the charges with our bank and stopped using the gym because we no longer trusted its billing practices. After investigating the transactions, the bank ruled in our favor and credited the disputed charges back to our account. A couple of months later, we were shocked to receive a collection notice for $833.48 from a debt collection agency. We believe this situation could have been avoided with accurate billing. This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. I encourage anyone considering a membership to carefully monitor their bank statements regularly and keep records of all payments. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location.
