I saw him a few times a week for a few weeks, and within a month, my pain was a lot more manageable. Now I see him about once a month. One thing that sets Dr. Fuhrman apart is that he really takes the time to give a decent adjustment. I think that's probably a function of the fact that he has low overhead because he doesn't have a receptionist, and he doesn't have to spend massive amounts of time dealing with insurance companies because he doesn't accept insurance--he just charges fair prices up front. By fair, I mean that the cost of an adjustment is equivalent to most insurance co-pays for a chiropractor. Plus, he just seems to care a little more than other practitioners I've seen. My job requires me to read and work at a computer for long hours, and I deal with a lot of neck pain, tension, and headaches. Other chiropractors I've seen in the past, even those who generally gave good adjustments, have had issues adjusting my neck. Basically, it seems like most chiropractors I've seen would try to keep my visits to five minutes or less regardless of how I was doing. Often, they would try and fail to make a quick adjustment to my neck. The end result of a failed neck adjustment was that my tension/soreness would get even worse than when I came in, and my headaches would get worse. Dr. Fuhrman actually takes the time to work on my neck before he attempts an adjustment, and as a result, he's always been able to give me a good neck adjustment. That has made all the difference for my headaches and neck pain. I'll keep going to Organic Chiropractic as long as it's around.
