I have always shyed away from any gym or fitness environment due to bullying, rude service, and personal insecurities (still do but in a different head space now). I walked in their door and never looked back. I was paired with Maria, and it was the best thing to happen for me. Her knowledge her care she gets me. She pushes me further than I think I can go, and then pushes me further than that! At transformation fitness there is not one trainer who does not make their client feel worthy, motivated, inspired. I have my share of injuries/pain and with the dedication, care, and instructions from Steve I am able to still continue with my trainings through modifications and mobility work. The latest addition to an already fantastic studio are their Cardio Boxing classes .. holy full body work out. The biggest joy is how empowered I feel after, and how these classes are helping me feel more confident within myself and it's ALL BECAUSE OF THEM !!! I owe a tremendous thank you to owner Steve who has helped me dig deep and find my potential and work hard on keeping at it. I also owe a tremendous tjank you to my trainer Maria who I would be lost without. Anthony, Kurt, and Christine and the rest of the team at TFit I cannot thank you enough for inspiring me everyday to be a better version of who I was the previous day. Not only do I recommend anyone to try your studio out I HIGHLY SUGGEST every one to book a session, you will have zero regrets !

I love the tower class the best. With all of the different exercises incorporating the springs and pulleys, it goes quickly and it seems like every muscle gets a work out . She is a well known gem in the neighborhood for personal sessions too.

Mind & Body Pilates is a game changer for anybody who wants to feel amazing in their own skin…read more Yoomi is an amazing instructor and challenges me to push past my physical boundaries while also being mindful of my limitations. Yoomi always spends the first few minutes of the session assessing your body and finding areas that are imbalanced. This is pivotal not only for having great form during the session, but also helps build your awareness in your day to day life and enhances the quality of life as you age. Throughout our sessions, Yoomi guides me through each exercise and ensures that I am working out in proper form. After each set, she makes sure that you stretch and shake off your muscles in order to avoid cramping and enhance recovery. By the end, I always feel sore and filled pride that I made it through another an intense hour of Pilates. Every. Single. Time. Yoomi makes me feel extremely comfortable throughout our session, which is a pivotal quality for an instructor, in my opinion, because, like most people, I feel insecure about my body. If you're like me, and you're a little shy, book an appointment right now! You won't regret it. In fact, I recommended her to my friend, W, and we agreed that Yoomi is probably the best Pilates instructor in NYC. I highly recommend Mind & Body Pilates. 100%

What an AWFUL experience…read more... Was excited to get back into yoga and was looking forward to sharing this experience with a friend. The good- people taking the class all seem very nice. The instructor knowledgeable in palates. The bad - studio smell like sweat that has not been cleaned up in ... ever. - the studio owner is unprofessional and rude and there is nothing "namaste" about her demeanor. - the instructor seems threatened and terrified of her boss (the owner) to the point of creating a false narrative Will not be returning. If you are okay with disrespectful behavior and just taking class by disconnecting with the rest of the world- this is a place for you. Disclaimer - I am a health professional with 30+ years of dance teaching experience. When your hot yoga studio forbids you from leaving the room during class, even if you felt unwell, it raises concerns about safety. To add insult to injury when the studio owner proceeds to yell at you, questions you says that by leaving the class was disrupted, and insults - that's speaks volumes about the culture of the practice. If I didn't leave, the class would have been even more disrupted with the instructor unable to teach at all because they would need to take care of the student instead of teaching, Furthermore, when the owner accuses the client that because of the client the owner could not complete their scheduled personal important appointment- that demonstrates concern for the owner's mental state. There are safety risks involved with hot yoga and it is the responsibility of the instructor and the student to ensure safety. Listening to your body is paramount: Regardless of studio policy, your well-being should be the priority. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or experience any other signs of heat intolerance or illness during a hot yoga class, it's essential to take a break or leave the room. Same with dance -pushing through injury is highly discouraged as it may cause further injury. People are paying for the class, this is not a prison. No one comes to class looking to disobey.
