I've been coming here for some time due to the location it is convenient, it's not Dunwoody or…read moreAustell, but the size of the gym to me... is'nt bad. However, there are a few issues with this location, the equipment upkeep and the lack of equipment doesn't make sense for a gym this size and for what you pay. For example; in the entire gym there is but one dip machine...and the treadmills pretty much don't work. They are all walking speed even at 7 and above. Except for the four incline ones at the end for now... The equipment isn't maintained well so you run into a few broken or on the verge of breaking ones. Now it's not on the level of LA Fitness but it's giving LA Fitness energy, not that LA Fitness isn't a decent gym just not my cup of tea (if you know, you know). Lastly please for the love of love, put ESPN on at least 3 of the ten thousand TVs in there, you can watch but some much of the OneLife channel. I'd even settle for the fishing channel. All that said, the energy in the gym is nice, I always see the same trainers putting in work, and again location location ‍.

When I tried to cancel, they demanded a fee or documentation to explain why I no longer wanted to give them money. What kind of gym requires you to justify ending a service you barely use? Just look at the attached screenshot. Equipment is aging, no upgrades, and the overall quality has declined while fees stay high. This company banks on people forgetting, giving up, or accepting the hassle. I've filed complaints with the FTC and Attorney General. Don't sign up unless you're ready to fight your way out. You've been warned.

I have been a member at this Planet Fitness location for about a year and a half, and I am…read moreextremely disappointed by my experience today due to the unprofessional behavior of what appeared to be the owner or a person in authority. I came in with my friend and his younger brother, who is 13 and legally under his guardianship. We took the time to review Planet Fitness policy beforehand, which clearly states that 13-year-olds are allowed when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We followed those guidelines and even paid for a day pass for him. After checking in, we were approached and told that the child was a "liability" and that he was not 13, without being asked for any identification or given the opportunity to clarify (mind you, why would a 13 yr old have a ID in the first place). The situation escalated unnecessarily, and the staff member raised her voice and asked them to leave in an unprofessional manner. This felt like age-based discrimination or could be race discrimination. Assumptions were made about a minor without verification, and instead of handling the situation respectfully or following a standard verification process, the interaction became confrontational. I fully understand and respect gym policies regarding minors. I want to note that the regular front desk employees have always been kind, respectful, and professional. However, this experience was completely different and does not reflect the standard I've come to expect from this location.I also never thought that this gym would operate independently from the policies that is clearly stated online. And would never thought I was attending a gym under an owner who is this unprofessional. It makes me wonder now if this is the atmosphere that this company pride itself on or the image that the owner is setting for employees at the gym? It's pathetic and disgusting. I really hope that this situation is rectified soon because no member or a minor who is 13 should be treated in such a manner as of today. I thought this gym was really big On being a judge free gym, but it seems like you are heavily judged the moment you crossed those doors. I really hope that the lady who created such an experience go to reflect on her professionalism and how she can better herself from this day forward. Professionalism needs a touchup.
