Truth Fitness is my 1st experience where I got a sculpted workout tailored to my body type. It's professional yet flexible for my schedule. I knew I would need someone who kept me personally accountable without bullying me into fitness. I got lucky because Vincent is intuitive & patient in a way that doesn't let me wimp out. The routine starts the same; few minutes of cardio to get my heart rate going....then we move around the gym rotating a variety of new focused exercises. He shows me a move & tells me how many reps to do. If I can exceed that number he challenges me to add a few more; if I'm about to fall out he slows me down. The coaches/ trainers are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely care about your progress. They are always friendly and quick to assist with any questions. Beginning with Archie's, "it would be an honor to assist with achieving your fitness and nutritional goals" persona; it trickles down to all of V Fit's staff. I've consistently participated in the CrossFit classes which are both fun and challenging. Lastly and most importantly is the incredible sense of community. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly faces and people who genuinely care about each other's progress. The members here are supportive and motivating, and it feels more like a group of friends than a typical gym. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, everyone encourages each other, and the trainers make it a point to help you reach your goals without any judgment. Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (PRUMC) offers a boot camp that is operated independently from the church. I am what one would call a religious "Mutt" and never felt like this was a religious-based organization. If you want to get in shape I would definitely recommend the PRUMC boot camp. They offer numerous workouts during the day and you work out every single day. Chip and Ethan are the two trainers (at least when I went). Chip literally runs the morning class at 5:55 a.m. I believe he is an ex-marine that loves to run and some even refer to his a.m. class as the running club. So, if running is something you love or want to love, definitely sign up for Chip's class. Chip is hilarious--very sarcastic and very much a smart ass but his workouts are great. Ethan is completely opposite from Chip. He is younger and into martial arts. His workouts are very "routine". With Chip, you never knew what you were going to do and with Ethan you know what is going on. Usually, Mondays and Thursdays were "arm" days; Tuesday and Fridays were "leg" days; Wednesday were "ab" days but everyday you would do ab exercises and run for a warm-up. Ethan did not have you run nearly as much as Chip's class which is good for me. I am barely 5'0 and do not have a runner's body--not even close. Ethan would have you run for about 15-25 minutes and the rest of the time would be strength training. Both guys are great. I went to both of their workouts. I would definitely recommend both of these guys to workout with--you will see and feel results. You definitely get more than what you pay for. I did the math one day and you basically pay $8 for each session. You will never find a personal trainer that charges only $8 per session.

I'm 48 and not in athlete shape but done a bunch of Boot camps in Atlanta. While they all serve a purpose of helping people start or stay in shape, PRUMC takes it to a new level. You can get in great shape or, if you have a mind for it, tune your body to become an athlete-it's up to you. The 5:55 AM class at E Rivers Elem. is a hard running, cross training workout that's not for the feint of heart but will take you to a level of fitness you've never had before if you stick with it. It's taught by Chip who's an ex Citadel guy with good sarcastic enthusiasm for the early morn. He also teaches a lighter level one at 8:30 outside P'treee Meth. Church. Ethan is the Trainer running the 7:20 & 9:30 sessions outside the church and back at E Rivers at 4:30 & 6:00PM. His is a more total body workout with emphasis on core, weights, and enough running to keep that cardio going. The classes are small enough for individual attention and all fitness levels are worked in to the activities. My teenage daughters do them in the summers and on break to get themselves fitter & are not intimidated by the program. Trust me, your only limit to getting in shape with this camp is the one you set on yourself. I
