I was active in sports in high school but that was it. I knew I needed help so I sought out personal training. I went twice a week for 30 minute sessions. I was seriously in the best shape I have ever been while being there. I was so much stronger and lost about 7% of my body fat after a few months. The man knows what he is doing. I was drenched in sweat after every session. I've been to 2 other gyms since moving and nothing compares to the workouts I had when I went to this gym. I can't thank you guys enough. You guys rock and have helped me in ways you'll never know!

They give special attention to those who need alternatives and help develop correct form. Each workout targets a specific group of muscles, allowing you to improve your overall fitness and reach your goals. I love seeing my progress and so does my husband! As a gym, we participate in awesome challenges such as "The Murph", The 911 Tower Challenge, and multiple personal challenges throughout the year. I can't say enough good things about this gym and encourage anyone who wants to improve their overall health to come check it out!

I've never had trouble finding the machines or weights I need, even during busier hours. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is motivating without feeling intimidating. It's a good mix of people--beginners, regular gym-goers, and more serious lifters--which makes it a comfortable place to train. Locker rooms are clean, equipment is in good shape, and it's clear the management takes care of the place. Definitely a solid gym if you're looking for somewhere consistent to work out.

However today I had…read moreperhaps one of the most unprofessional interactions I've had with someone in a customer service position. Two days ago I arrived to a sign indicating the pool was closed. When I inquired about it reopening I was told it wasn't technically closed and we could swim at our own risk which I did. This morning I called a little before 9 am and spoke to Miranda D and asked if the pool was open and if any classes were going on. She told me there was an aqua fit class at 9 but after that it would be open for lap swimming. I arrived around 10:45 and a man was in the pool swimming laps. Right after I got in Miranda entered the pool area and asked me to get out. I asked why and she claimed she didn't like the look of the pool. I told her about the interaction two days ago and asked if we could swim at our own risk or if I had to get out. She replied "Well I'm not going to drag you out." At that point I replied "Okay I'll respect that." And I got out of the pool. Note that there was no signage about the pool being closed and Miranda herself had confirmed via phone an hour earlier that the pool was open. I proceeded to walk out a door that had been propped for the past 3 days with a fan that people have been going in and out of. She waited until I got into the doorway and then yelled across the pool "You can't go out that door." At that point I was already out and on the other side. She proceeded to chase after me screaming "What is your name. I will revoke your membership right now. What is your name." I was stunned. I went to the desk to speak to a manager who I knew and I expressed concern that she was confrontational, aggressive and threatening. She denied that yelling at me saying she would revoke my membership was a threat. At no point did I argue with her, raise my voice or otherwise engage with her in a way that could be considered disrespectful. In fact, I had fully complied respectfully with all she had asked and was leaving. It was such a benign situation that I was truly stunned at the unprofessionalism displayed. I asked for her supervisors name and she provided the name Alex Luna. She contacted him in my presence to let him know I would reach out. I've attempted to do so and so far I've received no response. I then reached out to James Tyree, who I figured out is both Miranda and Alex's supervisor, and have not received a call back either. I am concerned that this level of unprofessionalism was exhibited. And even when attempting to talk to her she could have apologized at that point for her reaction but instead dug her heels in. I think the way she engaged was entirely inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of professionalism and maturity that is required for the position she is fulfilling. If that is how she engaged with customers in a customer service position it is alarming. No one deserves to be yelled at and treated with the level of disrespect I was subjected to when I ultimately willingly complied with exiting the pool through an open door that multiple people had gone in and out of.

Many class times to choose from on weekdays. As for the other 90%: 1. Those extremely young, spirited coaches understand *nothing* about aging and necessary exercise modifications. Not worth $189 a month. 2. Neither the coaches nor most of the clientele appear to be strong, fit, defined or athletic - even after YEARS of OT. 3. Coaches don't correct bad form. Even if you're doing something egregiously wrong that's likely to get you injured. 4. They hit you with charges and fees at every opportunity - a late cancel, a membership pause for medical reasons; etc. 5. People talk throughout the workout. Incessantly. Shush! I'm trying to hear the Greatest Frat Boy Party Hits Mix of 2004! 6. If you raise an issue, the poorly-trained front desk folks will say "it's in your contract" or "there's nothing we can do." 7. You will never reach anyone in OT Corporate to address any of these issues. 8. They appear to report and delete negative Google reviews. Bottom line: OT in general, and the Casas location in particular, is a money-making machine run by people who know very little about exercise kinesiology, but are EXPERTS at making every single buck they possibly can. That said, there's usually plenty of parking.

There's an energy at this place that's hard to put into words it's the perfect blend of motivation, encouragement, and genuine care. Rosemary, the owner, is one of the kindest and most sincere people I've ever met. Her warmth radiates through everything this gym stands for. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and truly passionate about helping you grow both physically and mentally. One of the things I love most is that it's a female-owned gym. There's something really special about training in a space that's privately owned and deeply cared for, it has so much more soul and personality than any big-chain "global gym." You can feel the love and intention behind everything, from the coaching to the community. I've met some of my best friends in this gym and I am forever grateful for it. The Gym of Tucson quickly became so much more than a workout spot for me. It was a community, a sanctuary, and one of the most meaningful parts of my time in Tucson. I miss it and everyone in it every single day. If you're lucky enough to live nearby, don't take this place for granted. Go, show up, and let this gym become part of your story too. You won't regret it
