Tattoo Studio With Dr Bobs Piercing

Tattoo Studio With Dr Bobs Piercing

The world of body art is a very exciting one. As with anything there will always be those who care…read moremore about the money and the image, than the thing itself. As a result I've seen some pretty appalling tattoo and piercing jobs in my time but at The Tattoo Studio they're all about professionalism. Like their business cards and their shop these boys are no-nonsense and to the point. They took over the shop in 1998 and have been working since to build up a good reputation. They're the archetypal tattoo-covered biker-looking guys you'd expect but sincere, honest and polite. Dr Bob runs the piercing side of things and from what I'm told it's a painless affair - both on your body and your wallet! Body art is a beautiful yet serious game. If you're a first timer or a hardened ink head I'm sure The Tattoo Studio can help out some way or another.

For a start its painted a cheerful yellow and the windows are covered with advertisements so you can't see the guys actually tattooing customers (shivers). Inside, staff are (as you'd expect) covered in tattoos, but actually really friendly and helpful. I actually went in there to get a belly button ring and they had a really good selection at a reasonable price so I would probably go back.

Broadmead Branch I…read morehad my nails done on a Saturday with my partner as the had a 1/2 price offer going.Four days after having the shellac treatment on my nails the ends started chipping. The technician even said to both of us whilst doing our nails that the shellac should last well over 2 weeks and hers were on for over 4 weeks of hard wearing. So in my disappointment I called up and spoke to the technician who informed me that she couldn't fit me in earlier than the Thursday after. During this time my partner had to remove all hers as there were hairline cracks all over her nails. I need to state that I work in an office and there is no hard wear and tear with regards to my nails. The technician simply failed to take the shellac over the tips of my nails hence the nails would chip at the most inopportune times. As the nails were chipping badly I walked in on the Monday to see if there was any way they could have fitted me in since I was off work. I spoke to the manager who informed me that they do not guarantee the Shellac over a week but that they would be happy to service it on Thursday at 6.45. This was yesterday and I arrived at 6.30 to find the shop closed. So I sent an email asking whether I could come in on the Saturday to get this resolved. The manager informed me that I can come in but that I would be charged again! As the nails were on for too long (due to no fault of my own as they could not fit me in). I informed her that I would write a review on google and she then proceeded to inform me that she would then take me to court. Good luck with that!!! Very poor customer service and very poor management to Renege on an agreement. If it was up to me I would have attended Monday or earlier and had it done but the delay was entirely due to their postponement. Here I am now out of pocket with chipped nails and a refusal from the company that fitted them not to make good on their promise. Am very disappointed with the lack of service and would not recommend the hair and beauty bank Broadmead to my worst enemy due to a lack of customer satisfaction guarantee and their inability to honour previous agreements..

Thinking about getting a piercing or a tattoo? Holey Skin are a small company based in Bristol who…read morehave three separate tattoo and body piercing studios in the city. I frequented this studio to pick up some ear studs on a Saturday morning and was surprised at how busy it was. A small, intimate establishment with young, friendly staff, it is by no means an edgy or intimidating place, like many studios of this nature. The outlet specialises in feminine tattoos, and all of the clientele in there that morning were female. So if you're male and you're thinking of getting a tattoo or piercing, you know the deal...

Want ink? This is a good place to get it. Fully equipped…read moretattoo and piercing studios, staffed by holey professionals trained in London and Europe. They do devilishly good hair extensions too - in bright, funky colours. Most importantly - hygiene standards are high, the walls are lined with certificates and they spend a load of time explaining aftercare of tats and piercings. The shop isn't all scary and dark like many of these places, but rather more approachable with plain white walls and a cosy leopard-skin sofa to chill out on when recovering from the pain!! Bespoke body art, design your own, and even tattoo cover-up (want to get rid of your ex's name by any chance?!) For folk looking to get into the tattooing and piercing trade, the shop also offers 6 week intensive training courses led by the famous Kouri Montana who tattooed none other than Johnny Deep (droool). Now if that's not worth decorating yourself permanently for, then nothing is!

Doc Croc, the senior artist, has been in the game professionally for 25 years and runs a very tight ship. No stranger to body art I've popped in a few times to get advice and information from the very friendly staff. They tell me that it's their catering for first timers that sets them apart from the other tattoo parlours in Bristol. They're sensitive to nerves and doubts as well as providing support with designs and aftercare. This store is clean, approachable and professional. If you're looking to get involved with piercing and tattoos you can do much much worse.

I downloaded a picture of the design I wanted ( an ancient symbol for the God Asclepius, if you were interested) and was dead-set on having this tattooed onto the nape of my neck. I went into Holey Skin, a bit nervous to enter this unchartered territory, and asked Doc Croc how much a tattoo of this design and size would cost. Looking back now, I know I wasn't in my right frame of mind and am glad I didn't go through with it. However, I know that if I really was serious about getting a tattoo then I would definitely come back here. The place was spotlessly clean and all the staff were happy to allay my fears and give me advice on the procedures.
