They do offer military and veteran discounts, since this is a military diving museum. I thought that was awesome. There are a lot of photo opportunities here. You can even go inside the sea lab. There is a 40 minute documentary you can watch and then walk around to see all the exhibits. Their gift shop is adorable too. I learned a lot from this. I didn't know the history of saturation diving or that the dive school is in Panama City beach now.

We did the whole experience - the museum, the moving theatre, and the mirror maze. Such fun! I loved the music in the maze - we pretty much danced our way through. Our staff member - Owen - was really helpful and gave us his opinion for the best game we should play in moving theatre. It did not disappoint. Ashley was working at moving theatre and she was really sweet. Made sure everyone in the theatre knew what to do and had a great time. Owen was a great help once we were all done and we were just browsing the store, as well. There are some seriously fun souvenirs in the shop! If you're in town and have time, I definitely recommend a visit to Ripley's.

Disappointed sums it up…read more This place looks like time has gotten the better of it, and that happened some time ago. In the outside area, the "exhibits"(?) to the left were all closed off - the woodcutting house, and the wheelhouse. They all look like an accident waiting to happen if an unsupervised kid were to go wandering around there. The inside is a little more put together in terms of hands-on things for little ones to interact with. And I'll admit, our 3 year old did enjoy himself. I've just been to similar places like this one around the state, and they have been much more polished and far better maintained than this is. No staff walk around to pick up after kids, for example in the pretend shopping / grocery store area. One in St. Pete is well "policed" with workers picking up after kids, so each one gets to experience it fully, and not a ram-shackled mess. That seems like a minor issue, since we picked up for our child, and he enjoyed it still - but a simple thing like creating a job for somebody improves the experience for visitors. Overall, I wouldn't be in any great hurry to return. I'm not sure how much replay value there is for an infant - probably more than a single trip to be fair, but the neglected feel of the place puts me off. It just seems lazy and half-hearted. Which is a real shame, because there's no equivalent in the area, and it's a fantastic idea to stimulate little minds, and get hands-on experiences and exposure to science and math in a playful and fun way. Hopefully they will step up their game and live up to the potential the place really has, instead of just skating by on the bare minimum of effort.
