We had a great lunch experience at this welcoming family-owned winery and restaurant. We sat outside which, despite the summer heat, allowed for great views and a relaxing atmosphere for our meal. They offer a tasting menu with wine pairing and although I can't remember all of the dishes we had some that I can highlight are the jabali (wild boar) appetizer, the empanadas and the choripan. These were all delicious and were everything I needed to make me happy. Their bread was also delicious, salty and soft. Their wines were good, not the best we had in this region, but the good food, whole ambiance and cozy experience is really what you're here for. After our meal we toured the cellar and got to taste one of their reds from the barrel. This was definitely one of the better meals we had while in Mendoza. The service here was excellent and the entire meal cost us half of what we paid at another (overpriced, overrated) restaurant in the area.

We visited a lot of wineries while in Argentina, and this one took the cake. It's so casual, and the views are incredible. All outdoor seating with an amazing view of the mountains right across the street. We had a five course meal and wine pairing and everything was excellent. They made substitutions for me since I'm vegan and it was the best meal I had in Argentina. The wines were our favorite here as well, they have an incredible Malbec. Our server was such a gem! She was very friendly, helpful, and warm towards us. We stayed after our meal and had a long conversation with her about the winery. They don't give tours here, and I loved how laidback the vibe was. Nothing fancy, but also definitely not anything low quality. I highly recommend coming here!!

Fantastic winery with amazing service and incredible food! My wife and I came here for lunch and we are so happy we did. The food was the best we have had our entire trip and the service was exceptional. It was also a very quaint space that was perfect to enjoy lunch on a summer day with a view of the vineyards and the Andes. We had a five course meal paired with four different wines from the winery where all the wines are exclusively Argentinian. The wines were very good, particularly the Reserve wine. The meat - it was the most fantastic meat I have had during my time here. I had the ribeye and it was incredibly tender and juicy - something i had been craving my entire time in South America. Overall, I would absolutely recommend stopping by La Azul if you find yourself in or near Mendoza.

from the first second you are greeted at the door by Ezikial the owner of La Azul you can be guaranteed the meal is going to be amazing.. We did the 5 course meal with wine tasting and from the first bite to the last this is the most amazing of meals you will have. The braised pork over mashed sweet potatoes was my far the one of the top 5 meals I have ever had in Argentina (here for 1.5 years and we eat a lot).. amazing food.. amazing tour of the winery and beautiful views.. this place is a must eat at... reservations a must!!

This isnt about the restaurant (although it is great), it is about the experience. First of all, the landscapes you get to see on the road to restaurant are gorgeous, lots of peacefull vineyards surrounded by the mountains. Seccond of all, the restaurant and the winery are super cozy. Your host will be the owner. The location is completly beatifull, the food is awesome, wines are great and service id perfectly in tune with the places mood. For $35 USD you'll have a 5 steps meal, each step maridated with different wines from La Azul. This includes a guided visit inside their tiny and cute wine factory. Veggie friendly menu, and wine "open bar". I completly reccomend it.

This place is SPECTACULAR! If you are looking for great vibes, amazing service, delicious food and decadent wines this is then place for you. We arrived for our 1PM reservation and were greeted by Gisella who is chef kiss wonderful! You get the choice of (3) or (5) courses. The difference is the appetizers. You can either get 1 or all 3 and honestly just get the 3 is absolutely worth it. You are not timed, once you get a seating you have the place to yourselves through 6PM so if you want to hang out go to the outdoors space have a drink and wait for your meal, you absolutely can. It's not like other places where they are waiting to turn tables super quick. They had a saxophone player and when he wasn't performing he had all American songs in the background. The reservation ends with a tour of the bodega where they tell you about the story of the vineyard and you try a special wine. This place is worth ALL the hype for a great price. Strongly recommend it. read more

This place is pricey but nice. If you are with a group celebrating an event, this would be the place. Beautiful bodega. They were just hand harvesting the peaches, HUGE, spotless peaches. The grapes had been harvested a few days before. We selected the 3 course lunch (as we were still quite full from the previous nights dinner). We sat down and I looked away for a moment and a glass of white wine appeared. Our server was a wonderful young lady, who did an excellent job describing each bottle of wine (think there were 4). Each bottle of wine was opened at the table AND left at the table. We are not big lunch drinkers, we questioned ourselves as to drink more or not, we chose not. We noticed that other tables, large or small group, were all partaking of glass after glass of wine. We savored our meal, the beef filet was good, the pork (roasted in it own juices for 14 hours) was fabulous. But we just could not eat much. Our driver (after 2.5 hours) asked if everything was OK, I told her no, that the place was taking WAY to long in serving. She spoke to our server and the server told her that we ate 'too slowly'. We ended up taking our meat away, and leaving. We did the short tour of the bodega, and sampled wine straight from the barrel! There was a saxophonist taking request, and we overly LOUD. Nice background music is one thing, but having to yell across the table is another. Would not go back, unless I'm expecting to wolf down my meal and wine. read more

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Mendoza. You get a tasting menu with a choice of meat - we chose the ribeye and the pork lomo. Everything - the empanada, the choripan, the meat, the desserts, all of it - was fantastic. The wines were just as good, and what surprised us was their practice of leaving THE ENTIRE BOTTLE on the table so you can taste as much of it as you like with the food. Coming from the states, where wineries want to get you in and out with lots of bottle purchases, it was an amazing change of pace to experience a family run place like this that wants you to take your time and enjoy the food and wine. We would definitely return. read more

A "must stop"for the incredible food, wine, service and location. We spend a few months each year in the area and consider La Azul to be one of the very best places to have lunch-particularly on a clear day!!! read more

Just had a wonderful time at this winery! We had a little tour and then lunch with the wine tasting...five courses. Crepes with oso buco in a creamed spinach sauce; choripan mini "gourmet style"; empanada; entree of ribeye and pork shoulder with sweet potato purée and dessert of dulce de leche creme brûlée. Each course was accompanied with a wine (Sauvignon blanc, Malbec, Cabernet, blend reserve). All delicious and the price was amazing. Totally worth the drive from Mendoza. One of the best meals I have had! Thanks Paola. read more

Ezekiel, quite handsome, warmly greeted our party of five as we entered the relaxed outdoor dining area. Unfortunately, we arrived without a reservation and the empty tables would soon be filled with a soon to arrive party. He quickly resolved the situation for us by suggesting we wait on the comfy couches under the willow tree while enjoying a few bottles of wine. Even better, let's start with the first three appetizers while waiting - perfect! Three bottles of wine later with paired apps of sliced beef with anchovy aioli and pickled vegetables, a beef empanada, and a choripan. Their Sauv Blanc, Malbec, and Cab Sauv were served. Entrees were a choice of pork shoulder, lamb ravioli, or ribeye, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the group. Creme brulee or brownie rounded off the meal. We were expertly served by a young woman, but I cannot recall her name. With the backdrop of the snow-clad Andes behind us, it was perfect. read more
This was a third stop on a day of winery visits - for lunch and wine. We had a 5 course meal that was paired with different wines - the food was some of the most delicious we had during our entire 9-day trip through Argentina and Chile. The wine was delicious and plentiful. The service was top-notch. Overall, this is a winery and lunch stop you should not miss! read more
Love this place! This a real boutique winery experience in Uco Valley. Only 80,000 bottles a year produced. We were here for a wine tasting which included a Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and blended red wine. Then we experienced a barrel tasting of a premium red blend. After that, the group chipped in for a premium Shiraz tasting which was amazing. My favorite was the Shiraz and prices of all the wines were very reasonable. Note that they only take USD or Argentinian pesos. I ended up buying a few excellent bottles of red wine not available in the US. read more

I don't even know where to start with what quickly became my absolute favorite restaurant that we visited while in Argentina. Let's start with the rolls that they make in the fire pit ovens. They are beyond tasty! I don't even usually like bread, but these little chewy, fire kissed rolls were the best ever! There were so many courses with the wine pairings and each of them were full of spectacular flavors of the region. I especially liked the empanadas and corn soup. The wines were probably the smoothest and best that I tried throughout the whole 10 day wine tasting trip in the Valle De Uco. If I were ever to come back, I would definitely come back for lunch or dinner. read more

A tremendous wine tasting (drinking) multi-coursed lunch - a mixture of local appetizers and grilled meat from a wood-fired oven. The food is excellent -- as is the wine, particularly the ridiculously valued 'young' bottles (i.e. Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon - around US$5 a bottle). The pastoral setting is beautiful -- and the experience is unforgettable. read more

Smallest winery in Mendoza and touted as the only winery with no foreign investment. Family owned and originally only a grape producer for the largest wineries in Mendoza. Producing wine that they drink in the year that they bottle it, I tried some amazing 2016 wines (ask the wine maker/owner his predictions on this). As part of the experience he takes you to try wine straight from the barrel. Now that is confidence! You must book lunch with wine pairing. One of the best meals I had in Argentina! Make sure you build in time for a siesta after lunch on one of their outdoor couches with stunning views of the Andes. read more

My husband and I stumbled on this place thanks to the recommendation of the hotel we stayed at in the Uco Valley and it is by far the best food we've had during our two week stint in Argentina and Chile. We made reservations a few hours before lunch. When we arrived we were greeted by our waiter and proceeded to eat a five course meal paired with 4 different wines. The appetizers were fantastic and the wait staff was very accommodating of any food restrictions. For our main course, I got the pork and my husband got the ribeye. My dish was fantastic and my husband said he was never eating meat in Argentina again because his ribeye set the bar too high. The wines were also very good and paired well with the food. In addition to the fantastic food and beautiful view, the service was fantastic. The owner walked around and talked to everyone and our waiter made sure we always had everything we needed. read more
