I have been wanting to get my brows microbladed FOREVER. I've had a couple strokes, and am on heavy duty blood thinners. I needed the best. This wasn't amateur hour stuff. I'm a heavy bleeder and stencils aren't going to work in my case with my extremely uneven brows from paralysis. Talia killed the game. Not only did they make a same day appt, but also gave her to the best haircut of her 74 years! Melinda (I hope I got that right!) was nothing short of amazing. My aunt uses a walker, a hearing amplifier, and is blind in one eye. All recent results of her disease. Melinda was patient, listened to what my aunt wanted, tended to her with care and compassion. When I saw my aunts face when she looked in the mirror after her wash, cut, and style I began crying tears of joy. I haven't seen her so happy in months! Thank you Melinda. My mother and I will be customers of yours now as well! The salon is cute and quaint. The location is a little outside of downtown, but WELL worth the short drive. I love Tammy's! My husband, my 2 year old, and I all get our haircuts here. There is a play area for my son and a candy bowl for a treat after his hair cut. Tammy has to be the sweetest lady, she's been cutting my sons hair for over a year, and has had so much patience and kindness with him! I would not recommend this salon. Although my cut with Pam was OK, I was put off by visible dirt on the floor in the shampoo area and would have left at that point but my hair was wet. The neighborhood is sketchy as well. There appeared to be drug activity with younger people going on at the side of the building as I left the area. Not my idea of a salon experience. read more

I saw Pam L. At Bodega Hair and co and it was wonderful! I live off magnolia and the drive to her shop on Thompson was short and nice - a much better experience then having to drive downtown or across to the east side. Easy to park right in back. I have been growing my hair out for about 18 months and of course have not gotten it trimmed, so it wasn't very healthy lol. I explained this to Pam and she completely understood. She proceeded to examine my hair and let me know shed have to take about an inch and a half off the longest layer but my hair would appear thicker and fuller. I trusted her and man was she right!!! Although I lost an inch or so, my hair looks crazy good. The only thing I regret is not taking a before and after picture. :) for a shampoo, cut and blow dry - $40 (with tip!!!). I have been getting my hair done for over 20 years by top salons and paying around 200 plus dollars for this service. Truthfully, I was a little nervous when she told me her price. I was a walk-in here at Tammy's and walked out extremely pleased. I had no appointment for a haircut when I walked through the door, but they called in Ashley Blanchard who arrived within minutes. Not only did she give me a wonderful layered and updated haircut (that I have received several nice comments on), but they also colored my hair and highlighted it and I absolutely love this. I just had a great haircut here. (formerly Tammy's, it's now called "Bodega Hair and Co") It was a really great haircut, a clean and warm environment, and good conversation. I have had the hardest time finding a reliable, consistent haircut since moving to Petaluma. I think I've found where I'll be coming back to over and over again. It's not a far drive at all, about 4 minutes from Petaluma Blvd, and way easier to find a parking spot. The stylist did a fade and managed to wrangle with my significant cowlick (sp?, I really have no idea, is it because you always look like a cow did your hair with their tongue?) and come out on top. Tammy's Beauty Salon is the best. I first went to Tammy's about a month a half ago. I called on a Sunday and she fit me right in with one of her best girls, Ashley. I had an appointment at 4:00 p.m. and I wanted color and highlights. Ashley was wonderful, she is my new go to girl! She did an amazing job and did not mind staying late to finish my hair, even for a Sunday. I went in about a week ago to do my retouch, and again had an amazing experience. Ashley knows what she is doing. All I had to do is explain what was on my mind and she could make it a reality. I am getting married next weekend, so it was a must to have fabulous hair! Ashley did just that!! One more thing, the Salon is super kid friendly. I took my 5 year old son with me for my last hair appointment and Tammy's play area kept him entertain the entire time. I called the salon and made an appointment for the following day and showed up shortly before my appointment to be told my appointment had actually been an hour earlier, BULL. My husband was sitting next to me while I made the appointment and heard me repeat the time, twice, to the individual on the phone. This particular salon is way across town and when I told the individual I had repeated the time to her on the phone (happened to be the same individual) she said I thought you said 11:30. I do not have any accent. She then proceeds to make me an appointment for another day at 11:30, but asks if she should put 12:30 haha in front of the other client she was working on. It wasn't funny to me and I will not return to the salon and do not recommend it to anyone. A really fabulous place. I have always gone to the expensive salons for my hair, so I was a little wary of a $16 haircut. I got my cut from Tammy and left feeling like a million bucks.
