In June 2025 I reported a sagging load-bearing header over my patio opening that bound the sliding door nearly shut. I provided photos plus laser/level evidence. HSR opened Work Order #XN787021 and scheduled Weathershield to inspect on 8/27/2025. We had multiple misdiagnoses - stating foundation settling despite clear evidence otherwise. After that, months passed with vague updates, repeated "Board review" stalls, and no written plan. On 12/18/2025 HSR finally confirmed in writing: "the header over your first floor unit needs to be replaced" and "the Board has approved the repair." Despite this, HSR still will not provide a repair date, written scope, or the inspection documentation supporting the decision. As of 1/11/2026 - over 9 months after first notice and weeks after "approval" - I have no schedule, no documents, and no accountable point of contact. During this period the exterior was opened for inspection without clear communication or a defined restoration plan. It remains open. This is not cosmetic. It is a structural repair HSR has failed to manage with basic professionalism, exposing owners to unnecessary risk and cost.

Schrank & Associates managed Tierra Grande Courts Condominiums for years and their primary job was collecting money and when asked to make repairs, residents were made to pay SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS but the promised repairs never came. The TGC Condos are almost never repaired and as a result, many of the condos contain MOLD ( as you can see in the photo) which is in the cement foundations and throughout the units. Beware because MOLD can make you sick and residents have become sick, but Schrank & Associates didn't care.

They are unresponsive, poorly structured, and will absolutely NOT manage your property. The owner, Hadi, makes a great sales pitch to get you onboard, including an extension of his personal assistance if you need anything, but take this at face value because if you ever NEED him, he will not respond to emails or calls. I was asked to establish a threshold for maintenance approvals. This threshold was not adhered to and I received a large repair charge that I was not informed of. Work orders that required my approval were not provided to me until multiple weeks later causing extensive delays for the tenant to have required repairs performed. To make matters worse, they sent my property into abatement because of three failed inspections. I was not notified of the inspections prior to, however was informed of only 1 failed inspection because of an approval required for repairs. When the property reached abatement, their team had NO CLUE of what was going on. I reached out via email and calls, and both were met without answers and promised call backs that never occurred. Hadi never responded to calls or emails, but had the audacity to terminate my account after I demanded that this issue be resolved. Needless to say, this company is a NIGHTMARE. The person closest to professionalism is Cynthia. Outside of Cynthia, there's no hope. You will not receive payments on consistent times of the month, in fact, you may have to reach out to understand when you will receive your rent. Communications are nonexistent and there's a complete lack of structure. You will not have a point of contact for your account, instead you will just grab for traction with any one of the six various names that will reach out to you. Word of advice: STAY AWAY!! I don't typically air out companies like this, but this experience has been stressful that I would never wish this on anyone else. If they want to respond to this review with any follow up outside of acceptance of responsibility, just know I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERY CONVERSATION AND AM WILLING TO UPLOAD EVERY ONE OF THEM.

When they finally responded because there was water pouring through my ceiling like a waterfall, they tried to tell me that they didn't have my correct phone number yet it was the same number id had multiple texts and calls with since they took over managing the building in April of 2025. The "contractors" that did the repairs were unprofessional, caused more damages to personal property, Kevin accused me of being deceptive because my photos were not "time stamped". I have a claim in with my renters insurance and neither my insurance company nor myself can get a response from anyone at REI. I've asked REI to please respond. Not to mention I found this Google review today. Ed Crespo is the manager in charge of REI. But apparently he likes to make reviews on google and pretend to be a tenant. Other tenants have had issues with them as well and action needs to be taken. If I didn't have to give them at least one star to post this, I would give them none.
