Having just purchased a bike from Bobz I probably didn't need to purchase another one but they had a great example of the bike I had always wanted. Over the next few days, I kept ogling it on their website and finally decided to make contact with someone there and run some numbers. While juggling tasks at work, I sent a message to the email address on their website figuring they would be like just about every other business and get back to me in a day or two. I was wrong, and within the hour I had a response from Bob letting me know the bike was still in stock. We conversed back and forth about my trade in, about the new bike and the numbers. They were sticking pretty close to the asking price (which was reasonable already) but feeling there should be a little room for negotiation and the bike was really on the very edge of my budget, I kept at it. They finally agreed to come off their price a little (maybe since we just purchased another bike there) and offered me a fair price on my trade (which they hadn't seen yet) so we made a deal. I called up, talked to Steve a little more about the new bike and gave them my deposit. A few minutes later, I noticed my new bike was marked as sold and removed from the website. Gotta love instant inventory updating!! A couple of days later we went to pick up my wife's bike as the post sale service had been completed and I brought my trade in so we could complete the sale on the new bike as well. Bob's mechanics went through my trade and there were a few more issues than I knew about. Turns out it needed about $500 in additional repairs and needs. (tires, steering bearings, and a few other things) Bob knew we were at the very edge of our budget as is, so Instead of the additional being a deal breaker, he agreed to meet us half way and would cover half of the repairs which again, I felt was very fair. I wasn't able to pick up my new bike that day as I was riding my wife's the 60 miles home for her (she is still learning and wasn't comfortable with that long of a ride yet) so I would have to come back on the weekend to get it. That weekend was pretty rainy and I didn't have an additional driver so I brought a small trailer to bring my new bike home. Not 10 minutes after arriving, Bob and Steve had the bike loaded up and I was on my way with my new bike and little Bobz swag in the form of a free baseball cap thrown in. So that is my experience, pretty painless, and positive. A few things to remember here. Number one, Bobz is in the business of selling bikes and making money. He doesn't give them away so don't go in there expecting him to knock thousands off his asking price. I thought his prices were fair and he has hands down the best selection around. (My new VTX1800 with only 5k miles being one of them) Number two, the bikes on the website are represented very well, showing any blemishes, and other issues in the pics. If there is an issue with something, you will know about it right away through pics or in their description, no surprises at all. Number three, unless it's stated "as is" which unless you are a mechanic you probably don't want anyway, all the bikes come with a 30 day warranty. Bob will have your bike serviced before the sale, it will be ready to ride and most importantly it will be safe. If it needs something they will take care of it. His staff is incredible. Everyone there is friendly, helpful and really wants you to be happy. Special thanks to Bob himself for the service, Steve for his knowledge and passion for the bikes, plus added bonus for treating my "new to riding" wife with respect as she asked lots of questions about her new bike. Also to Julie for making the business side of things go smoothly and explaining every bit of paperwork. I have a whole back story about wanting a motorcycle that would probably make a pretty funny blogpost, but it is probably unnecessary and uninteresting here...so I will proceed with my review. We found my bike online and I cautiously fell in love...I'm a novice and really looking forward to joining this culture. The pictures did not try to be deceptive or hide anything, the bike was exactly what I expected when we found it at the shop. The customer service is excellent, no pressure, and very excited about answering your questions. We did not drop heavy money on my bike, but they treated us with attention and kindness, just as those looking at more expensive bikes. Steve pretty much rocks...he thinks about things that a beginner rider would not, and I felt like he had my back. Bob was pleasant and joked with us drooling over a bike that was already sold, and Deb whisked us through the paperwork lickety-split, carefully addressing each fee and payment option with us (including any fees related to the option of holding the bike etc.). We were invited several times to attend their customer appreciation event, and completely enfolded into the "Bobz Bikz" family. I love my bike, and can't wait for the service to be complete so I can bring her home. I thought this place would be a great place to buy a bike, I was pleased with the service and the bikes offered. I found one I liked and left my bike there until I could come up with the funds to do the deal. I was going to finance through them but then Deb said there was some red flags and was concerned about doing a loan. The way she came across was like she was accuse me of trying to scam her. She came up with an idea to try my local bank and I got it with a better rate, which was awesome and I would have saved 3,000 dollars. We did not sign paperwork nor did we have a verbal agreement for anything. I changed my mind and went with a different bike at their shop and was set to pick it up tomorrow. Again no paperwork was signed and I was not told of any fees if I changed my mind nor was there any signs posted of a "storage fee" I found another bike with 3,000 less miles a transferable five year warranty all the accessories I was going to add to the bike at bobz and plus a ton more, a trailer and four helmets with completely setup Bluetooth setup, tool kits, oil filters, spare parts for road trips, three covers, rain gear and the use of his shop for guidance on any maintenance I need to do on the bike, for only 4,000 more then what bob wanted, again no accessories or warranty or trailer. The person who sold me the other bike dropped the price to the point were I got the headsets and other side items for the price of what he was asking for the bike. Same year same make same model just a better deal. I went to go get my bike back and I got it, I had it loaded up on a trailer, tied down and bob came out. He was upset that I backed out the deal after all he did and saved me 3,000 dollars. He demanded I go say thank you to his wife, his face was red and he was very upset. I told him I'm not going any where. He began to call me a chicken shit piece of scum in fact the lowest piece of scum he has ever known. He set on my tail gate and refused to get off. His wife came out and demanded I pay ether 218 dollars towards a storage fee today or 250 for holding a bike. I told them I don't have any money and Bob went into my trailer and unloaded my bike and walked off with it. I had to pay the fee to get my bike and Bob continued to verbally attack me and called me chicken shit and scum in front of my kids. It's business, it wasn't anything personal I just found a better deal and wasn't told about a fee or anything of the sort nor did I sign a single thing. Bob made it personal. He employee Steve even tried to help me load the bike and was very pleasant during this and Bob came out and yelled at him to get off my bike and not to help me. read more

They bend over backward to make sure their customers are happy campers. My experience with Bobz Bikz is a truly positive and pleasant one. Bob with Bob's Bikes just talked to me after my email to him and the same comments on YELP. I am old and it is starting to show. I didn't realize that there was no response to YELP. Bob has no chance for rebuttal. That is unfair to him. He was so mad he said he was shaking yet he was cordial despite the circumstances. Bob is a bigger man than I am. I should have slept on it and at least talked to them after I emailed them. Remember sleep on it first. I know this but I was angry but the worst part is I was vindictive. I am embarrassed about what I did and I apologize. So I am asking the readers to please contact them and hear their side of the story, there are always two sides. You read my slanted and "vindictive" side. Better yet just dismiss my first comments. My first impression in seeing their shop was that I liked it. I liked Bob. Bob was out of town when I came back when all this happened which made it even worse for him. Things could have been handled differently by both sides, but my behavior has no excuse. This is a small attempt to right my wrong. Bob and I during the conversation basically agreed to disagree. There was no deal made, but I respect him for how he handled it. I am asking for their forgiveness by everyone in the shop that could be impacted by my earlier remarks. I've bought two bikes from Bobz. Their pictures and descriptions are always accurate with no hidden surprises that shares recommended service work if needed. Who does that nowadays? I have also had service work done at Bobz many times riding well over an hour just because of their workmanship and caring attitude. I've never felt pressured into buying something I didn't need whether it was the purchase/style of a bike, or any unnecessary repairs or maintenance issues. In fact, it has always been the opposite...they've always tried to save me money where they could and made recommendations to prevent me from breaking down miles from home. My bike always comes back in better condition that when I brought it in including a completed wipe down of oily fingerprints and wash (if needed). On one occasion, Bob personally picked up my bike when I thought I had transmission issues. It ended up being the front wheel bearing from aftermarket wheels (with bearings installed) I purchased online. Over the past ten years I have always had a great professional experience here. They have always backed up their work and done what they said they would. I have several friends who have purchased bikes there (and service) that feel the same way. This business cares about your bike, your satisfaction, and your safety on the road. My next bike purchase will be at Bobz Bikz. Now, if you are the type of person that is the "bargain shopper" that wants to brag to their buddies of how you managed to get such a great deal on a bike and/or the repairs so cheap and it makes you feel better at the end of the day, then by all means...go for it.
