About Bob’s Tax Service
Bob’s Tax Service is owned and operated by Robert Poissonnier, a former first responder and retired federal law enforcement professional with decades of experience in public service and tax preparation.
Robert began preparing taxes at the age of 14, completing handwritten paper returns long before entering public service. His career started as an EMT-Basic at 18, followed by law enforcement at the Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Department of Corrections, and later the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he served until retiring in 2018.
In 2023, Robert opened Bob’s Tax Service, combining over 40 years of tax experience with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and personalized service. He is a proud member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB).
