Last place I will go too. Offered me like $40 on a new 40-inch brand new Smart TV. Disappointed and will never go back there. Zero stars!

Went to Jewelry Authority with a 7ct, 10k Citrine ring that weighed a little over 4g. They literally offered $93! $93 whole dollars. 10k is going for maybe $68 per gram. Yet, they offered me $93 for the entire ring! How insulting is that? This seems to be a common thing with their business and I'm truly wondering if they only lowball a certain demographic of people. It's bad business and a bad look! Thankfully, I took to ring to a coin/gold business for scrap and they took the stone out of the ring and gave me almost $200 for it. I sold it for scrap more than JA offered! And I kept the stone! So do yourself a favor and avoid Jewelry Authority if you want to get sell your jewelry. You'll probably get more selling it on your own or scrapping it.

My mom, who worked in the wholesale jewelry industry for her entire career, helped me immensely in building the ring. She handed down her engagement diamond to me and my fiancee. So, not only did the diamond come with a lot of love and meaning (it's priceless to us), it was a practical decision as well. Schiffman's supplied the new mounting and also the wedding ring. My mom initially went to Windsor Jewelers in Winston-Salem, but ultimately chose to work with and purchase from Schiffman's. Schiffman's has been in Greensboro since 1893. They have two locations in Greensboro (downtown and Friendly Center) and a location in Winston. My mom worked with Rich Lindor to create the rings and had them shipped, overnight, to me in Georgia. You could say I was feeling somewhat anxious to receive the package the next day. When I opened the boxes, I couldn't believe my eyes. The rings were absolutely stunning. I got nervous just looking at them. Mom did good. My fiancee and I had gone ring shopping in Atlanta (Solomon Brothers was my pick) and my fiancee picked out a ring she liked. It was Sylvie brand, white gold I believe, with a round-cut diamond, and pave on the band optional. It was simple, timeless, and elegant. I sent pictures to my mom, the expert, and she found a design that exceeded both my and my fiancee's expectations. It looks even better than the ring my fiancee had picked out. The brand is called Precision Set and the rings look amazing. The engagement stone is a round brilliant cut (I think round is the most popular shape these days). The ring is platinum. Platinum is more expensive than white gold. It looks like white gold, but it's more pure, durable, and low maintenance. There's a melee pave set on the shank in a three-row arrangement (three rows of pave, round and full cut, on either side of the basket) with a four-prong setting. To us, the ring is perfect in every way -- the look (especially the sparkle), the fit, everything about it. We couldn't be happier with the result. As for the wedding ring, it matches the engagement ring exactly, except the three-row pave covers the entirety of the band. Rich called me after the rings were delivered to make sure I received the rings and everything was to my satisfaction (it was). I spoke to Rich at length about the rings and he did a great job of explaining everything and answering all the questions I had. He was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I enjoyed talking to him. He also sent me an appraisal, prepared by Schiffman's in-house certified gemologist appraiser (American Gem Society) Edward Durbin, for insurance purposes. Again, in the end, we couldn't be happier with the rings from Schiffman's. Thank you, Rich. Tip: Schiffman's will clean any piece of jewelry for you, whether you purchased the piece from them or not, for free. Just bring it by the store and ask.

The goal was to have them all melted together to form an ingot/bar. I was very clear, I need to have the prominence stamped on it, as well as to confirm the shape. I had asked to be contacted before they started to confirm my request was possible. However, none of my request were followed. After two weeks of no communication, I went back to the shop to retrieve my items and to take elsewhere. Turns out the only direction that was followed was to melt it all down. The product I was presented with was an absolute mess! Completely unacceptable. When dealing with precious metals attention to detail is key. I would have been better off by never stepping foot in this location. I would recommend going somewhere else if you want any custom work done. Buyer beware.

Being first time jewelry buyers, Sara explained everything we needed to know and gave worthwhile suggestions based on what we were looking for. She helped walk us through styles, shapes, sizes, bands, you name it. We ended up leaving with nothing but talked everything over and called as soon as we had made our decision. It took them around thirty minutes to get the ring fully prepared and by the time we got back to the shop, it was all ready to go. We really appreciated how much time she took with us going over everything and seven months later I'm still in love with my ring!

My engagement ring was purchased here in 2011. The ring has had many issues, with the diamonds on…read morethe sides. The ring has been remade twice, yet the problem continued. After having another diamond fall out, the decision was made that I needed to trade the engagement ring in, as it was defective in design. It was understood that I was only trading in my engagement ring and that my wedding bands were to be soldered to the new ring. I was told, to trade in my defective ring I needed to choose one double the value of my current one. After picking out a new one, we did the paperwork. In writing, signed by myself and the sales associate, it states that the jeweler, was to resize my new ring and solder my existing bands to it. The whole time I was in the store it was made clear, I was there only to turn in my faulty engagement ring, even though the ring and one wedding band came as a set. I payed a deposit and opened a store credit for the balance. I left the store expecting to pick up my new ring the next day. I received a call informing me that they were taking my engagement ring and wedding band. At no time, was an offer made for me to keep my band. I went back to the store, stated to the manager that I didn't want to give up my engagement ring, but had to, due to their faulty craftsmanship. Giving up my wedding band was out of the question. He became very pious, letting me know to go forward and call higher management, as he was untouchable and my complaints were not valid. He even threatened to kick me out of the store. I've spent 7 years replacing diamonds, making a three hour drive to this store. Then I'm spending more money on a new ring, and he refused to offer a way for me to keep my wedding band. It took over 30min for him to refund my deposit and give me my old set back. I was in the store a total of 4 hours, only to be threatened and have my credit score affected by opening and closing an account on the same day. My signed recipient and paper work were a contract, one they broke and refused to rectify. I later learned (after talking with corporate) that the manager, Mark Phillips "under his discretion" could have let me keep my wedding band. Mark refused to make their wrong right. Over the years of bringing my ring in, I worked with another manager Brook. She was outstanding, she remembered me and my ring, every time I walked in the door. I will no longer recommend anyone to Reeds. And I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
