The lip balm alone is reason enough to get thee to Bobbi Brown. Yes, lip balm.
Stopped here after visiting Sassoon for a cut and color (see my rave reviews on Yelp!) - planned to just get some concealer and blush but was in the mood to browse.
So up to the counter I went, and met Rachel. I told her what I was looking for. Although I'd purchased BB concealer before and knew my color, Rachel asked if she could do a quick test to ensure it was still the one.
Fast forward 10 minutes, and there I was happily trying out concealer, foundation, bronzer and blush! Oh, and lip balm and lip gloss. I've never done this before, always too busy. But ladies: If you've never had your makeup done, pull up a seat and let them! Especially if you get Rachel, who freelances as a makeup artist (if you're in the market).
I've never looked so good. She invited me back any time and said she'd be happy to do a smokey eye before I go out on the town, or any other kind of makeup I'd like.
I walked out with concealer and blush, also bronzer, a bronzer brush, foundation and lip balm. Rachel threw in some samples of a moisturizer I was on the fence about (she swore I'd be back for it...we'll see) as well as a double-duty sample pot of blush/lipstain. I also tried their mascara and a lip gloss - both of which I loved but I had to draw the line somewhere. :)
Go! Check it out! And ask for Rachel for great service. read more
