One thing about the Aularale Cosmetics foundation is that you will not look like a clown while wearing it. The foundation is sheer and shows the true beauty of the wearer's skin. It does not rub off easily onto people's clothes when you hug them. If it does, the foundation will not leave a permanent stain because it is a water-based foundation. I phoned and spoke with the representative to place an order. During the time she was taking my order, she answered another call. My call was disconnected. I called back several times and finally left a message. The rep returned my call hours later and I wasn't available. I returned the call and was told that she had to pick her grand child and that she would call me back. She never did. I have ordered from this company for over 30 years. I have been using Aularale products for over 20 years. I became a Beauty Consultant in 1996 because I fell in love with the rich eye and lip colors. Once I started using the cleansing products, I tossed everything else out and have been extremely pleased over the years with my skin. My face is NEVER dry and I do not have breakouts or dark spots that are often associated with aging. I am extremely happy about the new lines that include the herbal spray, CBD spray and lotion and natural hair products. I suggest you try the skin care and body products. Ugh! When I first arrived here in Atlanta, I signed up as a vendor for a craft show near the airport. My booth was next to two ladies who sold these cosmetics. It is the same model as Mary Kay or Avon. Unbeknownst to me upon sign up, there was a fashion show as well. If I had known that, I would never have signed up. First of all, I do not like to do shows. In general, I am not that type of artist. But, I had promised someone that I would do the show. Second, waiting for peeps to file out of the fashion show so that they can peruse your wares is not my thing. Moving to Atlanta did not change that. OK...back to Aularele. While the vendors were in a lull, waiting for the attendees to file out, I decided to kill some time schmoozing and checking out what other folks were selling. I tried the Aularale booth. I needed some foundation. Now proudly....I am a chocolate girl. I do not want some foundation lighter than my skin color that makes me look like Caspar the friendly ghost. But this is what they kept trying to push on me. I said..."I want the dark colored stuff. Or at least something translucent that compliments my beautiful, bittersweet chocolate skin. I am NOT milk chocolate!" The sistah seemed annoyed and kept telling me that I was lighter than that. (OK, I have been black all my life, I know all about the nuances of the so-called "color struck." My mother was Southern and she used to try to pull that shit on me, too) I insisted on a dark foundation. Homegirl got a bit perturbed and then tried to push a cinnamon color on me. I am not Cinnamon either! I do not particularly like to argue with amateur makeup artists with what I like to buy. Just sell me what I want and shut the fuck up. I ended up buying a black eyeliner too. I spent too much money for some shit I could have been more satisfied with at Rite-Aid, CVS or Wal-Mart. If you encounter an Aularale rep, remember my words and do not pass GO. Head toward Rite-Aid, CVS, Wal-Mart or if you are so inclined...Mary Kay or Avon. I too thought I should be wearing darker make up, but Joanne assured me she was expert at matching skin color to the proper shade. I am so glad I listened to her. I looked absolutely gorgeous when she finished with me. I am through with Rite Aid and Walgreen cosmetics. I wish I had a dime for all the money I have wasted on what I thought looked good on me. This is my 3 rd review about this company (Aularale Cosmetics). (go figure)?! Anyway, I've tried a new (new to me) product by Aularale called the Anti-Wrinkle Peptide Serum and I love! Like the other products, it's topnotch! I put it on after the Vitamin C Serum like they instructed and my skin feels so smooth. It's suppose to go through the skin pores beneath the skin and it makes the skin feel firmer. I'm over 50 and need all the help I can get. I can even go without foundation and I still get compliments on my skin!! By the way, the foundation looks and feels great when I do use it with the peptide serum too. As far as that Ugh! rating I see on here - Yelp seems to feel it necessary to "filter" many other higher ratings for this company?? There's got to be something wrong with that. I am an. African American woman who has been familiar with Aularale for many years. Although I have been a consultant with the company, I am no longer and have not been for years. I actually visit their website from time to time to be in touch. I'm taking time to write this to share my opinion of the product since I used it over a thirty year span, starting in my twenties. I introduced it to my daughter who is now 22. Of women who use makeup, everyone does not, I had many happy, repeat customers, some strangers, some friends. The company has sheer foundations that range across the color spectrum from the fairest beautiful black woman to the the most beautiful midnight black color tone. AND the company line is vast enough for any ethnicity. When I was a consultant and afterwards, I wore the most gorgeous and truest variety of lip colors in shades that I would never had dared to wear before. There was always a matching or compatible eye or cheek color not to mention nails as well. In my twenties, I use to set up in salons and I would purposely pick the most unlikely lady simply because I KNEW that she would be transformed after I correctly applied Aularale.
