Instead when we moved in there was black water coming out of the bath faucet, a strong odor from all the faucets, clogs and various leaks. When I asked him to unclog the tub he told me to use Drano. It was the worst advice he could give because as it turns out there was a vertical split in the bathroom piping that he completely missed. That meant I was about to pour sulfuric acid into the walls. As it was, the leak he missed caused so much water damage in the walls that they had to be removed as did part of the ceiling. We had to have Grasser's Plumbing come and do the whole thing right. And that's not all. Al had been asked to install an ADA height toilet. Instead he installed a standard height toilet that was not the size I had requested for my disabled mother. When I asked him to rectify the situation he refused. His business office was rude, unfriendly, and would not offer any kind of restitution whatsoever. And they expected full payment and threatened to put a lien on the house if we didn't pay. They will tell you that they've been in business for 30 years but all that means to me is that's how long they've been getting away with their incompetence because there was no Yelp back then.

A home inspection that came in late required us to put in handrails on two stairways. We are new to the community and could find no one. Darrell gave me a quote and came and did the work. His work was solid. He was professional and done quickly. My husband and I were so grateful! Because the work had been so good on the handrails, we talked to him about a couple of other odd jobs and our new home he installed a pantry, medicine cabinet, and was honest with us about the fact we would not be able to install a garbage disposal. In addition he did a few other odd jobs while he was here. His work is always top-notch, he is pleasant to deal with, and we have been more than satisfied. I would say that you get what you pay for. His work isn't cheap, but his quality is outstanding and he is very good to work with. We are in the process of having him come back and do more work. He is helping us make our house a home!

Amber Plumbing did acceptable work, but what was not acceptable was a series of sexist and racist comments they made before, during and after work performance. They made people feel uncomfortable in their own home. And, as many people without a sense of professionalism in social settings are, they were likely oblivious to the nature of their comments. Upon these complaints being voiced, they shrugged and proceeded to insult the female residents of the house. Out of politeness one laughed it off, and Amber took this as validation of their opinions, and proceeded to further voice these on their Facebook page, in response to a review.

The floor was very uneven and held water. We simply wanted a drainage system put in to help the water drain to the sump pump.They came out, trenches he floor, then packed the trenches with pea gravel. Needless to say, the next rain came and with it the water. And there it sat.I called them back and questioned the gravel but he tried to tell me it was draining. It wasn't. Long story short, it never did. I tried to get a refund, or at least a partial but the owner became belligerent, even threatening that if I "tried to go to take it to court I would be sorry"He went on to claim he knew his way around the court system. We finally got a partial refund. On the plus side we were able to re work the system and no more standing water. Would NOT recommend!
