The pizza is always good, but how the owner treats her employees is unacceptable. I asked someone for a box, for takeout and the owner yelled at the employee for giving away boxes. After hearing her berate the young girl about .20 for the box, I gave her a $1 and apologized for getting her in trouble. This isn't the first time she treats her employees like her servants. My daughter and I drove 45 min to get your pizza. We ordered it to go, but my daughter then asked if we could eat a slice there so I said ok went up and asked for napkins and they really just pointed at a sign saying I'd have to pay 10 cents since I ordered it to go so go get back in line to pay 10 cents for a napkin. completely ridiculous and we won't ever be back. I will never return nor my family or friends ordered Wapaho no capicola add pepperoni charged me 12 per sub owner only gave salami said you don't get it the way we make it you don't get it would not refund my money stole my receipt... I have never been in any pizza shop where your charged for plastic utensils, paper plates,napkins or aluminum foil to wrap a greasy piece of pizza to give my dog.. This usto be a fun novelty pizza shop ,buy it by the piece ,not slice cause they're square.. I know that people really love this pizza, especially since you can get slices for cheap. However, the slices are cheese, and they put raw pepperoni on it if you want pepperoni (sticking it in the oven for 30 seconds doesn't really cook the pepperoni). The ambience is awful. It is 1970's orange (not in the cool retro-way) with wood paneling and plywood on the walls and uncomfortable hard benches. I don't really like the taste of the pizza (although, like I said, many people love it). The sandwiches aren't bad. The prices are good. It's worth trying to see if you love it like many people do or don't really like it like me. Oh, and on the sign, it looks like the character (Bob?) is sticking his middle finger up. Bob's is so ingrained in my childhood that I can't really tell you if their pizza tastes good. It's Bob's. It tastes like Bob's, which means it tastes like happy. The blinking lights of the two arcade games...beckoning me. The soda machine where I excitedly purchased a Mountain Dew. Sipping it with a straw while my mom waited for our order. Pizza is sold by the slice with the standard pepperoni and cheese toppings. You can eat it there, but most people get it to go. They'll stuff the slices into a box or two and then instead of putting a lid on the box, they stick it in a paper bag. It saves on waste but makes stacking the pizza boxes tricky if you don't want your cheese stuck to the top of the bag. The pizza is tastes good, well worth the price. They never skimp on toppings and the thick, square cuts of pizza are a good size. Two or three should obliterate your appetite. Definitely not for the thin crust lover cause these slices are thick and chewy. As an added bonus, they've some old school video games to play while you wait. read more

You can tell how old someone is by the price of a slice from when they were a kid :) It's still going strong and just as good. This is decidedly NOT NY thin crust pizza. At Bob's you order it by the slice. Only two options. With (pepperoni) or without. Slices are square. Get an end piece, or even better a corner. They do package it in cardboard sleeves wrapped in paper bags, so it is hard to stack. The decor is the same particle board walls with sports paraphernalia. An Indiana institution. read more

I DO NOT understand why this place gets good reviews. It perplexes me because their pizza is terrible. I don't know if it should be called pizza. Its a slab of tasteless square dough with a bland red sauce (if you want to call it that) and cheese. Oh wait you can get pepperoni thrown on top. This place looks like it's straight out of the 80's. Their dining room has not been updated in awhile. The pizza are these square things. They bake them on what looks like a larger and deeper cookie sheet. The pizza gets about a 3 star rating because it's not bad but it's definitely not the best I've had. We were visiting my hubby's hometown when he brought me here. His fave childhood pizza place. The pizza was ok, but I'm use to having more topping options. Cheese and pepperoni just doesn't cut it for me. Plus, the pizza was greasy and VERY hot. I wish that Yelp had a two-tiered system for rating - one for food and one for service. If so, I would give a 5 for the food and a 1 for customer service... This review is specific to Bob's "Wapaho" sub. They are delicious, and we enjoy them at various times throughout the year when we visit family in the area -- or when they bring a big order when they travel to our neck of the woods. Last month I phoned in an order of 10 for a friend who, knowing that I would be going to Indiana, had asked me to bring home some Wapahoes. Like other times that I have phoned ahead, the person who took my order had no problem comprehending that "please do not bake them" implied NO HEAT. Not this time, however.... Last evening the subs were not ready to go when we arrived, and while I was waiting I noticed the girl taking a sub out of the microwave. I asked if it was part of the order for 8 and she said that it was. I replied that I had asked that they not be baked, and she copped an attitude and informed me that "The oven is over there and the microwave is here. This isn't baking them. You have to ask for them to be COLD." Fortunately, she had only nuked 4 of them... When the order was finished, she slammed the bags down on the counter in front of me without a word. I called Bob's this morning and asked to speak with the owner. The fellow who answered asked about the nature of the call and I told him that it was regarding the service I received the prior evening. He said that he was the manager and that he could help me. Right... I said that I wanted to be fair and give them an opportunity to respond before expressing an opinion on Yelp. He couldn't believe that I would address poor customer service on Yelp... I suggested that he advise the employees to ask make sure that they're on the same page with the customer - who may not know that, at Bob's Pizza, some of the employees do not interpret "not baked" as being unheated. How unreasonable would it be to ask his employees to confirm that the customer wants the subs to be "cold", since (unlike most sub shops) they automatically heat them in a microwave... Although he said he would speak with her, he stood behind the rude girl's reasoning that "not baked" does not mean not heated.... SO PEOPLE BEWARE - YOU MUST SAY THAT YOU WANT THEM COLD OR THEY WILL NUKE THEM, causing the lettuce to wilt and the bun to get rubbery. read more

I can have a piece or two of Bob's pizza. It's a celebratory location for post-concert/game/graduation/exquisite fecal deposit, or all of the above. Any more than a piece or two and I feel like a sumo wrestler after drinking 5 gallons of melted crico. I can't shake the feeling of consuming the least healthy food in town (and I'm a fan of Taco Bell). Don't get me wrong, the taste of a piece is one of the better things in Indiana. Just short of what I'd imagine people who enjoy girly drinks feel while downing a mudslide. The atmosphere is what it is, and its an Indiana classic. If you're thinking of trying it, do it. Just don't expect to feel very well if you don't consume fried food every day or eat raw meat on a regular basis (a.k.a., a honey badger). read more
