We had great difficulty with customer service re: Boston Iron Group. FYI, it wasn't mentioned…read moreduring our initial estimate, but it's standard for them to complete painting touch up on site when they deliver your railing. I questioned the workers doing this as it was about to rain, but they assured me that it would be fine. We had a downpour within one hour of them painting and sure enough, the paint job suffered. I had to contact Aylton, the owner, repeatedly for 6 weeks before the painting was finally touched up. There were many weather days when painting was not an option, but the company didn't try to fulfill their promise of correcting things in a timely manner or without my constant reminding. I recommend looking elsewhere for your railing needs.

Watch out for price changes with these folks. I had them quote on a small job with timing schedule…read more(5 days turnaround). When I called with them to coordinating drop off they not only changed the schedule from 5 days to 15 day (which I get things getting backed up) but almost doubled the price even when I was fine with the 15 days. I was basically told they have so many large clients they didn't care about my job. I would avoid using Pike Powered Coating.

Remind you this thing is like 12 steps, 75 balusters, all kinds of pieces. These guys at pike had it all stripped, and re powder coated, wrapped up nicely right around 2 weeks. I was really happy with the experience and I'll be a try turning customer if I ever need anything of this sort again.
