Once he gave all of his tax information and power of attorney to Linda, she ghosted him. Sadly he passed away earlier this year and I am saddled with trying to take care of his taxes. I have called multiple times and left messages just to get his tax information and no return call. I have gone to the multiple locations to see if I could talk to someone in person and all locations have been closed. This wasn't an easy feat as I live in Colorado and drove to Santa Fe in order to get this issue resolved. What a terrible practice to avoid returning phone calls from someone that is just trying to settle her father's estate. I attempted to report her to the public accountancy board only to find that she isn't a certified public accountant. I'm not sure my father was aware of this fact either. It seems that my hands are tied and I will not be able to get my father's tax information from this woman. My hope is that she hasn't done something terrible to his taxes or worse. Additionally I hope that this review will help some other innocent person avoid the same mess that I am in. Thank you, Linda, for making this already awful time in my life that much harder.
