We originally went to look at a female cat and when we weren't sure about how compatible we were the girl helping us recommended a cat that we weren't even considering. The girl truly knew these cats and cared for them. We adopted our cat for free because he was a senior. We have had no health issues. I also believe if you are adopting you should be prepared for better or worse meaning medical issues might arise. The people working at this shelter are doing their absolute best. Volunteering has also been a great experience. I do the shelter buddy program so I can have a flexible schedule. I enjoy giving back, and have only ever received support from the staff when I am volunteering.

They had a fight in the morning and a second one in the evening. The dogs were left unattended, together during day play. The "handlers" apparently blew the airhorns to get the other dog to stop attacking my dog, that didn't work so then ran to get Adam. What if he wasn't there? My dog would probably not be here today. My dog and the other dog were put back together later the same day, which does not make any sense to anyone with a functioning brain. I didn't know the extent of my dogs injuries due to the attack. Adam tried to negotiate with me to pay the vet bill from his vet even before me being able to see my dog. MY DOG GOT ATTACKED DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE. He offered to give me a free week if I paid $500-600 for the vet bill. Just goes to show you how absolutely money hungry he is and what he's willing to put at risk ( YOUR DOG). I took my dog to our regular vet that Thursday and he had to have 2 drains surgically put into his leg to let it drain and keep swelling down. Not once did Adam apologize for what happened. Not once did he express any compassion or sympathy. That's when I realized it's all just money for him. You and your dog are just another dollar sign to him. This is just a warning for those of you thinking of coming here. He hires people off the street who have 0 dog training or experience with handling dogs to work for him. He is an extremely rough handler, i've watched him myself. The things that are done to your dog when no one is watching makes my blood boil. Please think twice about what may happen to your pup while in their care. My dog paid the price, don't let yours also. We've had a long 3 years of recovery for my dog to be able to trust other people and dogs again. He will never be the dog that he was before because of Adam and Obedient Paws. Please, if you love your dog, don't walk, RUN far away from this place and this man. You will be doing your dog the greatest service.

I dropped him off Friday at 8 AM and picked him up Sunday at 8 AM -- exactly 48 hours. Somehow, that became three days on my bill.The owner explained they charge by "calendar day," meaning even a 24‑hour stay counts as two days. In my case, a 48‑hour stay magically transformed into three. Impressive, if you're grading creativity. Not so impressive if you're the one paying.Nothing else about the experience was terrible, but the pricing structure is misleading at best and predatory at worst. I won't be returning, and I recommend anyone considering this place ask very specific questions about how they calculate time -- preferably with a calculator in hand.

Since then, they helped us train her and train our 2nd Shepard in Schutzhund training by Dwayne. Dwayne can train any type of dog to track or protect, pretty amazing! Annnd, they've vastly expanded their dog kennel and horse area. The dog kennel is huge! Spots for the dog inside and outside. They have a huge social area, so when you drop your dog off (assuming they are not aggressive) they can have a fun time with other 4 leggers! We've left both our dogs with them and have had great experiences every time. As far as their grooming goes = top notch! Today we dropped Chief off in the morning to get his Easter/Summer Beach bod showing! Pants shortened, nails clipped and pruned and ready for the Easter ladies! He looks great. There is no other place in Hampton Roads we trust more then Blue Sky Farms!

She gives my girls love and great walks 5 days a week. I have also asked her to help me when I go on vacations. At one point she cared for them for three weeks! I have often required extra visits due to my military work schedule. I love the daily pictures that she sends to my phone.! Shari never hesitates to tell me if something is off with my home or my retrievers. She gives loving corrections to them and I have seen a huge improvement in behavior over the past two years. I was so nervous but Krista was so welcoming and is practically an expert at interpreting dog behavior. I loved that we were able to do a meet and greet before my pups stay. She introduced her wonderful dogs to our dog and quickly determined our pup would be a good fit. She gave us a tour of the the dog ranch which was impressive. I was relieved my pup would have is own large temperature controlled room to sleep in. Their dog ranch is very organized, they have an excellent system in place and routine for the dogs, lots of play time! I love that the dogs can all play outside, and that I was sent pictures of my happy dog daily. When our stay was prolonged one day, Krista accomodated us and our pup was able to stay an extra night, I would recommend bringing extra dog food in case you may return a day later than anticipated. I liked that we were able to bring our pups kennel that he loves to sleep in and his bedding. My dog has some anxiety so Krista recommended bringing boiled chicken and rice in case he didn't want to eat, that was a great idea and I love that they have a fridge to keep pets food as well. I would definitely recommend Ballypines dog ranch to anyone who wants their pet to be well cared for. It was good to not be stressed about my pups stay away from us, I completely trust them with caring for my dog. I also like that they require dogs to have all shots including the flu vaccine, bordetella vaccine and a recent fecal/stool test. In this regard it may cost more than other dog boarding facilities (that's because this is nothing like your typically dog boarding facility ) and is definitely worth it so you know your dog is less likely to get sick during their stay. My pup was so tired for two days after he returned home because he had a blast playing all day! We are looking forward to his next stay!
